Thanks for the tip by the way, unfortunately I haven’t downloaded anything so far. Is it only for smartphones or is there a desktop version too? (You can answer me via pm too if you like).

Well, @Pokemaster seems to know how to handle things ;)
@tallend: Yes, the hamster is pretty cute but if you don’t play “well” it soon gets pretty upset *lol*

Don't worry, I've understood that you didn't mean to insult me and my PC. :chef:

I've looked for the app on my notebook (I've got Windows 8.1 there), but I haven't found the Rat Pack Challenge there. And I've read somewhere that actually it's offered only for Android?!

How many pictures have you deleted till now?

@Kuriiroobi: Good to know that we walk on common grounds!
Yes, actually RPC is only available for Android (but who knows what the future will bring?). I’m playing it now for a week or so now and I have deleted more than 1.200 images so far. Yesterday for instance I went to buy some Christmas presents after work and made a lot of pictures to remember stuff I wasn’t sure of buying yet. Later in the evening I used the app to sort out the things I definitely won’t need, which got me buy the way a great score, haha!

I rellay on SD-card and never care to save pitures and other stuff on my computer, however I face really difficulties due to this carelessness. I do not think any backup of SD card remains save in mobile device.

My fone doesn't take pix. I also can't talk on my Kodak Easy Share camera.

I download fotos soon after taking them, then save them on backup USB drives BEFORE deleting them in my camera.

I learned this procedure the hard way after downloading all my pix from a vacation with my grandson, deleting them from my cam then having my computer crash. I was in a panic but the tech at the computer shop managed to give me a CD with My Documents & My Pictures retrieved from the dead computer.

I also sort my pix in folders by subject and by date on the file name so they line up chronologically (2015 12-26)

Yeah @shale - that sounds pretty old school to me too :). I'm impressed. After using the Rat Pack Challenge for some time now, I have to admit that I stopped saving my photos to the computer that often. I sort them out on my phone and then saves a lot of disk space. I took a lot of pix during the Christmas holidays while spending time with my family. I know, it sounds a lot, but I deleted 400 pictures with the app. As I wrote, I've already used the app to sort out some Christmas presents, but now I found a really nice recommendation on their Facebook page. They wrote that you can make use of the app by taking pictures of the things you want to buy with the money you got for Christmas and then sort them out. Plus, the even made a challenge out of it. In the end you have the things you like the most and can go and buy them. I really fell in love with the Rat Pack Challenge and the little hamster :) Thank you very much for the tip :).

Good advice - I will have a look at it, great, especially after all this christmas holidays, I know there must be tons of photos on each android - or sure - and a lot of them are blurred or taken double to three times, as I also know myself a bit. ;-)
And I am also lazy saving anything on the computer, even doin a backup from the computer.

Yep, old school as in 35 mm film, which is no longer processed in drug store foto departments like it was back in the 1980s & 90s when I was an avid fotografer.

But even before that I had a lot of family fotos on paper in albums, which I have scanned or digitized so they can be posted on the Web or inserted into written pages for hard copies of the family story.

So, I have combined the use of archived fotos with modern technology and filing them for easy electronic access just seems logical since computers make it so easy.

Also, take any disaster, whether flood, tornado, hurricane or fire and you realize that old family fotos are often lost in those paper albums, so I have burned CDs of my scanned & digitized pix and distributed them to family around the country. I have pix of me and my family from the 40s, plus family fotos of great grandparents and relatives back to the 19th Century - those that have survived farm house fires & other disasters.

So, if you kids are lucky, you will have some old school relative taking your e-mailed pix and saving them somewhere other than a fone that when dropped in the ocean are pretty much as lost as a burned up foto album.
