Do you think people are born gay?

i did not choose to be gay attracted to women always have been attracted to women men dont interest me in the least

 

I agree. I didn't think about having gay sex until my late teens. Didn't experiment with it for almost 10 years later. Enjoyed it thoroughly. But in the end decided I was basically straight with some queer desires that come on at times. But I certainly don't think I was born any particular way. I think it was all shaped by my environment. But once I started to think about having gay sex, I haven't been able to stop fantasizing about it. But I'm still basically attracted to women.

Some day it will be normal for people to have sex with any gender and it won't be such a big deal anymore. Hopefully "coming out" will be obsolete and no one will insist you have a label for yourself.

No I don't think so. People don't express sexual feelings of any sort as a baby. I think its an inclination. Like some people have an inclination to have a short temper. Does that mean they are born that way?

 

I personally think it has to do with the fact that all children start out as female and the development of certain hormones in the body as we grow in the womb and outside of the womb. I'm not saying in some situations it's not a circumstantial cause but I think people it does have to do with how we are created.

?In my case I do not argue with others about this I am just happy finally living as a gay and being without the internal desires and struggles I still have struggles with society accepting me my friends and some family but as a child mom told me she carried me thinking I was female, for nine months her body nurtured me as a female now that probably had nothing to do with my body being smaller than my older brothers my desire to touch and wear feminine attire, and to get aroused looking at men and their bodies,, with living for years as bisexual being married I chose and acted to be gay totally the desires for men so much stronger than a desire for women,, I do believe I was born with some sort of gene or something making me gay and attracted and desiring men sexually and emotionally, having a male body myself puts me into the group of being confused by most of society,, I however believe I am now no longer confused and happy..

 

With all the hate gay people get why would they ever choose it? Do you think it's like a teenager dying their hair blue to piss off mom and dad? As if they say hey I want to annoy and this is how.

I am straight and I know I was always straight. Even as little boy when girls were the enemy I had crushes on classmates. Something about girls was just good. Every gay person I have met says they just knew too. They are not like the other boys or girls but they don't know why.

Oh but it says dont' gay in the bible. Bullshit that's one sentience and those Christians ignored the other sentences that say for example I should kill my wife if she is a witch. I should kill my neighbor if he works on Sunday. Oh and I can sell my children into slavery if done in the right way. Yet isn't a commandment not to kill.

Jesus also never spoke of being gay and is not his death supposed to cancel the old testament out. Like god is not the pissed off asshole he was in that book because Jesus has removed sin so now god is nice.

I've found the people who have the biggest issues with gays are those who are gay themselves bur afraid to live the life. They fear that they see themselves in that gay person. And be it for religious or social reasons they can not do what that other person does.

 

Yep, pretty much...I mean, I never chose to attracted to females it's just always been that way...I assume it's more or less the same for gay people.

 

I probably commented here before but I can't find it. So just in case, no. I don't believe people are born gay because there's no scientific evidence to support it.

People with a temper get a lot of hate too. So do alcoholics and smokers. Yet they choose to partake in those activities. And actually I'd argue that from the mainstream media, homosexuals are receiving a lot of support.

Anecdote doesn't trump science. And science hasn't proven that you're born gay. Plus some people are born attracted to children, animals, or their own siblings. That doesn't make it any normal.

The Bible isn't bound solely on what Jesus said first of all. Secondly, he said that in the beginning he created make and female when marriage was brought up. Meaning that he didn't created us to be homosexual.

I hate this question because it makes the assumption that being gay is a choice while being straight is not. If being gay is a choice, than wouldn't all sexualities--heterosexuality included--be a choice? Because if you don't choose to be gay or bi or pan or whatever, then you are choosing to be straight.

So to all you straight people who think it's a choice, please enlighten us and share the story of when you sat down to make your choice.

 

Gays are loath (pronounce 'loth') to switch because sex between males is easy and virtually immediate so there's a big dopamine payoff, stat. For males, conversely, sex with women is complex and may take days, weeks or even months to bring to fruition. Even a one night stand with a woman takes longer to arrange than a one-night stand with a man which can sometimes be accomplished with and glance and a nod.

Possibly the best outcome is to be 'adopted' by a couple and enjoy the almost-infinite variations that a threesome can conjure

I think about 4.1% are born gay and 0.9% become gay via environmental influences, such as being strapped by sadists at Juvie Hall (or caned in Borstals - I want to be multi-cultural here)
Perhaps another 2-3% are bi or bicurious and another couple of percent ruminate about it and over-think it
