I'm flying in a few days, and I have HORRIBLE flight anxiety. Last time I flew without anything I had a constant panic attack during the entire flight.

I've taken Klonopin for it in the past, but my mom refuses to get it again and seeing as I'm only 17 I can't get any.

Anyway, I'm still open to anything OTC that will just make me REALLY sleepy. I have a few options, including CVS "simply sleep" and some herbal formulas with valerian, melatonin, etc.

I also have some Bach Rescue Remedy, I don't know if it works but I figure I'll take it anyway. Could I take like 50mg Dipenhydramamine and Bach remedy? What if I add Kava to the mix?

And does anyone know if this is all safe to take on a plane (considering the altitude and pressure)?

man, your best bet is getting some type of benzo, klonopin, valium, xanax, etc..

if your mom doesnt wanna get it for you, get it from your friends or buy it on the street

  3. Melatonin can work as a mild benzo. Good luck :)

I would, but the only guy I can get it from is MIA, not to mention the fact I need to take something on the plane back and I really don't want to get caught taking an illegal script on an international flight.

And snocbor, do you know if it's cool to take melatonin on a plane? I only ask because I'm concerned that the altitude change and pressure change can effect drugs negatively, I know it intensifies alcohol.

The cabin is pressurized. It's a non issue, IMO. Alcohol has never effected me differently, btw.

As far as sleeping goes, diphenhydramine should work fine. Pop a few benadryls and sit back and enjoy the flight. 50 mg does the trick for me, but take 100 and you will deff be out for the whole trip. If you want to have fun, however, and experience something worthwhile, don't use diphenhydramine. Abusing it is pointless, and the "high" is really just an odd feeling with no positivity to it at all.

try valerian root, in large doses it is similar to a mild benzo effect.

If your sensitive to drugs Benadryl would make you sleepy. I have to take something stronger I would use a Benzo, I'm prescribed temezapam for sleep and that helps. I would recommend Xanax or clonopyn... go see your doctor and explain your situation the doctor might give you a couple benzo pills to help. Well I hope this helped. You will be fine good luck. Peace
