haha, thats actually why i started drinking wine again last week. I realized I was out of beer and then I was at the market and thought hmmmm.. i havent had any wine in a long time..
I'm not a wine connoisseur, or a big fan. I can occasionally have a glass or two (socially) though. I prefer white. Also, I can't stand beer at all. The mere smell of it makes my stomach turn. My drink of choice would always be gin&tonic <3
I like a bit of wine. But nowadays I have less tolerance for some of it. And lots of wines don't seem to travel well. Champagne is my favourite. Some people moan that its expensive. But its quite a labour intensive process with few suitable vineyards. And cheaper champagne is like elephant's piss. I'd like to produce my own champagne some time.
I normally don't like champagne. I did have one really good sparkling wine (not from champagne) last year though.
i don't drink often, but i dabble in wine, beer, and ....spirits. i only like red wine though, and mostly dry. my favorite types usually seem to be pinot noir. some cabernet sauvignon...merlot is ok. a really good red blend i've had is called Apothic Red.
I don’t drink often either… but I don’t like beer or champagne, so wine is the only opportunity for me when I don’t want to be wasted after a small nap I don’t like red wine either and therefore I prefer a dry white wine. Sometimes I drink Gin Tonic but only if there isn’t any wine for me in the fridge
In a restaurant its served warm, and in a wee little tea kettle looking thing, and you are given ittybitty barbie-cup like vessels to drink it from It will get you mucked up. Well, it messed me up; but then I drank most of the tea kettle. It wasn't very good either...I MADE myself suffer through it. lol
I really enjoy reds with Merlot and Malbec being my favorites. And fortunately I don't have a very discriminating palate (or maybe pallet in this case), so I don't have to spend a fortune to enjoy a good glass of the libations
I hate whites, at least the ones i've tried Reds are the best though, my favorite thing to do is get together with people who like wine enough without being pretentious where we can just each buy our own 10$ wine and just drink by the bottle On these excursions I usually get a nappa valley merlot I have done some wine tours in the Pacific Northwest, had some really good Pinot Noirs, Syrah, Couer noir
Champagne, yes. other wines, not really. Piper-Heidsieck, Taittinger, Deutz, and Pol Roger are my favorites.
