Yeah, all that's true, but it doesn't matter. Nobody gets paid to do a job where their boss says, "Do whatever you think is right." Davis thinks she has a job where she gets to make judgment calls. She doesn't. It's a paperwork job.

If she got her way, some counties might end up with fundamentalist Catholic clerks of court who would say, "I'm not going to allow remarriage after divorce, or marriage between people of different religions, or marriage of women who don't promise not to use birth control."

I dont understand why she hasn't lost her job already. She should be fired immediately irrespective of when she gets released. She should bear the same consequences that us ordinary citizens would by breaking the law.

What I don't understand is why some gay couples out there are going completely out of their way to take legal action against churches, caterers, and bakeries who refuse to provide them services for their marriages. While I understand it's discriminatory, and I personally wouldn't purchase any goods or services from such establishments, they have a right to deny these services to whoever. Besides, if they successfully got the law to force these places to bake the wedding cake, cater the party, and provide the ceremony, these places will provide terribly half-assed services and do a piss poor job putting it all together.
