Not really shoe style. Just some bands across that may appear like Sandle straps at a glance. But would be something beautiful on closer inspection. Have always thought foot tattoos looked good.

The tactile sensation of different surfaces is one of the joys of barefootin'

You must have missed them. They're right inbetween the carpet and hardwood shoes.☺

I am a stranger. But, what's all about choice? I'm not talking about compulsion, but function and practicality.

They're called work shoes, or work boots.

There're no jokes here that I can see, but maybe some light-hearted humor. Oddly, trolls have large feet that've never seen the inside of a shoe, but then neither do they wander around on concrete either, so maybe. Anyway, I think that a shoeless society would be inclined to build softer surfaces or simply leave the natural dirt/grass surfaces alone.

Well I didn't ever consider work boots necessary for concrete floors and tiles, unless of course I was laying them.
However it's all good; you wear your boots and I won't criticise, it's your choice :daisy:

I thought work boots were to protect the tops of your toes from getting squished. Sometimes they are made with anti slip properties as well, but that is meant to fix a problem normal shoes have on slippery surfaces, not a problem the pores on my feet have an issue with.

Work shoes without these functions are normally for aesthetics only, so concrete still has nothing to do with it.

well, steel toed ones. regular work boots are a little sturdier, so they prevent some injury, and they are generally waterproof.

Yeah but still not made specifically for walking on concrete.

I never understood that argument. My tattoos have absolutely nothing to do with what other people do to themselves, so lots of other foot tattoos existing was never an issue. It's either something you want or you dont.

Although I'd never have them myself cos I'm a wuss, I do love foot tattoos. They nearly always look great and suggest that the person believes their feet are kinda nice and worth decorating, instead of hiding them away. However I struggle to believe the OP is entirely serious. Tattoos to resemble footwear...hmmm....

To me shoes/boots are like gloves. Useful as a tool in certain cases but pointless and uncomfortable for most of life

I agree with you about foot tattoos.
    And I am serious
If someone glances at your feet expecting to see foot ware and see nothing they think strange of it. But when they glance and see something their normalcy bios can kick in and unless they really look their brain disregards anything unusual seeing what they think they should see

Are you saying if no one in the world had a tattoo, you'd have still come up with the idea of having a design in ink introduced under the skin? I think a lot people get the idea for having them precisely because they've seen them on other people; and a lot of people seem to get the same sorts of designs done (I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't different tattoo 'schools' or 'movements' by now); not that there's anything wrong with that. Also: the issue of wanting or not wanting them - you're right; the only complication there is that some people want them, and then later don't want them (hence the roaring side-trade of tattoo removal!). If only there was a way that your twenty-year-old self could have a word with your fifty-year-old self in order to okay the notion before going through with it.

No I'm obviously not saying I invented tattoos. All I'm saying is I saw something I liked and the person it was attached to and the amount of people with things similar to this on them has no bearing. If I like it I like it and I'm not going to worry about looking too weird or looking like anyone else either.

I agree but I don't know about 50yr old self, I already have a couple of tattoos on an arm which I regret from a few years ago!

It's a risk you take, one year you'll love something and think you will forever, sadly we grow up and our perceptions often change.
