LOL yes ... people have been saying the world is due to end within our lifetimes for thousands of years. what I can't wrap my head around is that it really seems like these people would welcome such a thing, and to them the sooner the better! That's a dangerous mentality IHMO.

 

I agree. If the end of days is coming no one is going to bother trying to stop global warming or do anything good for the planet.

I have to wonder if these people have tuition funds for their kids and RRSPs... If the answer is yes, why?

Those are just incidents of the past. It is not as widespread and vast as now..we have child molestors, murderers, thieves, gangs, wars, diseases, people have thier whole bodies covered in tattoos, mutilating and stretching thier ears, nose, tongue, genitals. Rapists, beasteality, satanists and I could go on and on and on and on. Humans have no natural affection for each other. We stare at hypnotizing screens that propagate our minds with info overload. See, with this box, I can control what I take in. Now, with the dang colored television, that's a whole different thing. Can't control that as much, cause all the channels are terrible.

Hmm which point to address first. Lets start with tattoos lol...srsly? For one, tattoos are an ancient art for and for two, there is nothing morally wrong with tattoos. My body is a temple and I'm going to fucking decorate that shit, yo! Same with piercing. And that shit is tribal too, piercings have been done forever. Educate yourself and don't be dumb.

Murders, thieves, gangs, wars, yawn. This stuff has always happened. The world is more populated so it may seem more widespread but its not.

And as far as humans having no natural affection for each other? Sounds like a major problem in your life and I feel really sad for you if your life is like that. I dont have that problem. Most people I know, in fact, have family and friends who love them. If you're lacking love in your life you should get off the Internet and go make some real life connections.

It seems like a lot of people have to focus on the end of the world because their own mortality scares them.
People are people. There has and has always been fucked up people.
While the influence of vilent entertainment is probably a bad thing. all the horible things people have done to each other thought out the ages says evil has always lived in man's hearts. The idealized version of 1950s America was and is bullshit.

Focusing on love(for all) instead of the eternal damnation of sinners and the end of days would be more in line with what Jesus said.
