I'm not into them as much as you (even though I do like them), but I do agree, their music defined the seventies to some degree...I love those falsetto voices...they can sing higher than I can! Yep, they were pretty great...

Uh... I agree and disagree. I like the Bee Gees, but from the mid-60's to early 70's only. I never could get into disco.

You have to admit they wrote some timeless ballads in the mid to late 70s, in spite of the disco. They were the first group since the Beatles to have as many hits in the top 10 simultaneously.

They would have continued if the industry hadn't overly commercialized them and if they had explored new avenues other than the disco sound. Some radio stations in the late 70s were having 'No Bee Gees' weekends as a way of dealing with their frustration.

the beegees were great musicians, sorry that I could never really get into their stuff.
the songs bring back great memories however, and I am not putting them down, I was just much more of a rocker when their music was coming out.

They are among the hall of famers for the 70's no doubt. I really relate to them though, as the older I get the more I am "stayin' alive"! :)

I'll admit that I loved them --still do. They were/are great songwriters --and I had major crushes on Barry and Maurice, rest his soul.
