None of my friends are on here from facebook and I haven't mentioned any names, so I don't see how anyone could know who they are...truth be told, I have probably replaced my own addiction to facebook with other websites myself. Its easy to grow absorbed with alternate worlds. a form of escapism, I think
I started the thread, so i imagine and in a way. Yes, i am quite the stalker on there. I just find it so amazing what info people put out about themselves. All you need is someones name and a location and you know pretty much everything about them. Most Facebook accounts aren't even private. I have no doubt it is a tool for all levels of government also.
I'd just be worried about all my pictures on Facebook, as there are pics there that I do not have backed up anywhere else, so they would be lost. I'd also miss taking with family members that live in different cities, and would have to make sure I call them more often, whereas now, we talk frequently on facebook.
Not that im a fan of fb, but outside that most of the rest of the net is shite too Mid 90s I imagined a complete virtual world 20 years later where dreams become true But alas what do we have, dumb popstars twitter followers
It wouldn't affect me. I log on once per day at most, and only to see if I've any messages. I'm sure a lot of people would be rather unhappy, though, and it would certainly be a huge media circus. That part could be entertaining, I suppose.
Also, thought by now fb would have gone the way of myspace and we'd be on to the next big thing, its a bit of a yawn
''all you need is someones name and location'' no...you need one more thing....you must also have a weird need to snoop and stalk.... have you snooped any hip forums people yet? pardon my attitude towards bookface......I ridicule my friends and family on a regular basis for being sucked into that world .... not a fan....ive never heard of it....those motherfuckers must stole it from me....
group texts would make a comeback. The only thing that keeps me from deactivating facebook is that anytime there is an event involving several people I always learn about it from facebook event invites or fb messenger.
I sort of like Facebook. Seems trendy to hate on it, but I find it a useful vehicle for my love of keeping up with people, but my hatred for actually talking to them.
Facebook crashes all the time. The excuses you get, are that you're 'network' is experiencing???? Whatever they decide that time when it stops. I'm pretty sure somewhere there was a girl having a party and not being able to whore up with pics and tagging friends, sitting in a chair crying because they 'ruined her life' and now can't go on.
