I used to be interested in a lot of shows and was a movie freak as well as a sports enthusiast... Now I just watch the big sports events from each sport and that's about it. You don't realise how addictive tv is and how much of your time it can take up (waste) until you try to quit which is very hard to do. Watching Tv also makes me feel less intelligent, as if I lost a few brain cells, especially after seeing even a minute of national news which can't help but lie, even in the stories with substance to it.... I go cinema once in a while tho, and saw i chappie Sunday night which I really enjoyed

I finished Season Two last night and will start Season Three tonight.

I love it.

I am descended of Odin, Freyer, etc. so I find it particularly enthralling!

I've actually gotten into TV quite a bit, it's necessary when it's cold and you're exhausted and you need to keep yourself awake to eat and clean and stuff...so new shows I like:

Playing House
Broad City
Suits
Blackish
Key and Peele
The Nightly Show
Undateable
Drunk History
Modern Family
The Last Man on Earth is the most hilarious show I've seen in forever.
I started watching Community before it was canceled and it was really good.
I'm trying to decide if I like Ghost Whisperer.
Also Catfish, that's reality right?
I watch a lot of news shows too. TV is my go-to thing now, when I'm not listening to music or super busy.

I will admit that I watch reality TV now. I watch Law and Order SVU because it's on at the appropriate time, like always.

With the failure of such Alaska based reality shows as “Alaskan Women Looking for Love”, “Alaskan Gold Diggers” and “Slednecks” I was surprised I actually enjoyed watching Alaskan Bush People (even though, yes of course it’s fake)

It appears I still enjoy/value the background discussion programs and docs on the dutch public channel the most. Man, I'm getting grown up :(

This is the only one in your list I know and really enjoyed. These characters are both hilarious and recognizable (for stoners). I also like the dentist. This show gets so real it also feels kind surrealistic if you know what I mean :p I do think shows like these and for instance Workaholics and Wilfred (they're all on the same channel here) are far much interesting when you're at least slightly stoned yourself. The situations and reactions of the characters just get more understandable, or I can relate to them better. And of course, you can relate better to the jokes/funny situations that way too.

I'll take that as a recommendation. But don't know it at all, except the name perhaps.

Also watched an episode or 2 of Catfish, which was interesting/entertaining, but after 2 episodes I'm kinda done with it. You know where the other episodes go after that.

I forgot about this show I really like called Hindsight. It just ended it's first season, it was only 10 episodes I think. It's about a girl who goes back to the 90's and tries to do her life over, but of course doesn't really make things better. I love the flashback and all the awesome 90's music.

The Last Man on Earth is about a guy who thinks he's the last man on earth. There's been some disease that has wiped off almost everyone on earth so he's living there by himself in someone's mansion, just ruining things because there are no rules and no one to offend, then he finds out there's another person on earth. A woman and they are both so hilariously different and her idea is that they have to repopulate the earth but they hate each other.

It's super funny.

I like Broad City, I don't get high but I used to so I get the humor for sure. It's very surreal to me and and sometimes too much, but I always watch when I see it.

Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners (such a good guilty pleasure lol)
Borgen
Whitechapel (highly recommend it)
Midsomer Murders or Lewis or Father Brown
Modern Family
Any travel documentary with Simon Reeve

I tend to like a TV show for some time, and then completely stop watching it, because it becomes so boring to me - like for example shameless or tbbt.
Now I am somewhat interested in American Horror Story, haven't seen it yet though.

Oh and I tend to like those culinary shows, like Lidia's Italy (love Lidia Bastianich!), or David Rocco's Dolce Vita, but I only watch those when I catch them on TV. But not Jamie Oliver, can't stand him.

I watch sitcoms, quirky shows and love Nat GEO. Dr Pol is one of my favs.

Anyone seen Schitt's CreeK? It's pretty hilarious.

And if you have Netflix, Black Mirror is great! It's Twilight Zone....

Real life docs like Dr. Pol is what has ruined Nat geo (and discovery channel) for me personally. That and that the only real documentaries they are showing seem to be about WW2. I did like the survival show (or soap :p) of Dual survivor.

Midsomer Murders and also Lewis (and Morse of course) are the perfect example for me with this. I did enjoy it a lot the first time I got into it. But Midsomer murders is running for such a long time, you're bound to get bored of it at some point.
I have also enjoyed Jack Frost at times, which if you are not in the mood for it is the most boring thing ever. Actually, where it comes to detectives I only really liked british and some scandinavian stuff.

I can understand that. But I don't know.... Each season is only like 4 episodes. And I mostly watch one episode of lewis or midsomer or father brown a week, which is a good dose, I think. Plus an episode is over an hour long...and you have shows like tbbt which are what 25 or 30 minutes long? And when you watch one episode, it's pretty much nothing, and then you watch another one...and it soon gets really boring.
Oh and each midsomer and lewis episode is just one case, with minimal personal stories dealing with main characters.

I guess everything has its audience. I mean there are people who watch real housewives or the bachelor or kuwtk xD
