With the second round of the elections taking place in Egypt, police cracked down on protesters for a second day with over a dozen people dead and more than 300 injured. Protesters are demanding the ruling military council yield power, and some are calling for the execution of the country's military leader.

It seems little has changed in Egypt since Mubarak's ouster and the political situation seems to be worsening.

This is really upsetting personally.... I know a guy through another forum, nice peaceful kid. He was a student during the beginning of the protests, just trying to get to school everyday without getting killed, beaten or arrested.... Now that he has graduated he has been conscripted into the service to be trained to kill, beat, or arrest his friends or family members (he has a slightly younger brother)...... Really sucks what's going on over there.

    Many times, revolutions happen like
    earthquakes. With aftershocks.

And, a lot of them trade down.

Things are getting worse over here since Mubarak left. Not only during protest but the economy is going to shit. But all that said, Egypt is still freer than the USA is.

There is a political party here whos platform is basically "We are sorry Mubarak, please come back".

I think we are in for another revolution to get Mosei out of office, the military will take back over and elections will be held again.

I'm in Egypt, Seen it, and tell you what ... I think they deserve this, it's been a setup by the Muslim-Brotherhood "Political Party", Now, the Brotherhood had a little chat with the minorities of Egypt, well apparently they got a bit ANGRY, just a little bit ... then there was a bombing at a church, "With" People Praying in side, That's How the Christian minority Defied the Late Pope and "hit" the road, that was on 23-24th January ... Next !!!! 25th of January the whole people were out Protesting and getting shot and stuff, not a pretty site ... Eventually we came to "ELECTIONS" which resulted in:
1- 75% of the Parliament went to the religious "Melisa"
2- in a while the people finally realized they where Deceived, double crossed to hand the country over to the BrotherHood
3- the People is more and more angry, more and more shut up, more and more criminals walking down the streets, more and more poor ... etc.

I did not and will Not ever approve any of this, but what could I do ?!__life will go on any way earth never stops spinning, I depend on that

President Morsi has just appointed a new Govenor of Luxor-former Islamist Terror leader Adel el-Khayat,founding member of Al-Gamaa Al-Islamiya. During the 90s Al-Gamaa Al-Islamiya carried out a wave of atrocities targeting civilians & Western tourists. Scores were murdered. In 1997 the group,in 45 minutes six gunmen systematically killed 58 tourists & 4 Egyptians inside a Temple at Luxor. Now this guys the towns Governor!

Adel el Khayat long since renounced violence(as you do) but Luxor inhabitants are furious & aim to protest & prevent Khayat from accessing his new office tomorrow.

I'll tell you but you won't listen:
Egyptian Muslims, and almost every single Muslim, hates the USA think that every body in the US is a Jew, and/or a Disbeliever who's defying God and deserves to be killed .... Freedom-calls?___just a lie to help the "MUSLIMS" rise the so called revolution, so they rule over the country and the rest of the middle east .. "a Muslim Nation, that's supposed to rule the world"! I can go on for ever about those, but this is the truth in short.

by the way, "Islami" Knows some brass and has the American Government support, I heard the American ambassador was visiting "Khairat El-Shater" yes the Ekhwan member, she said that the USA will not allow the Egyptian army to defend the country "and the people" ... GREAT!

The so-called push for democratic "reform" in countries whose governments are run by islamic/religious Imams/dictators are about as useless as tits on a chicken. Until and unless the citizens of those countries demand and facilitate changes within their hearts and minds, it will continue to be an exercise in futility. IMO, we don't even have one HERE now, what with the Citizens United ruling. The same point applies here regarding hearts and minds. Democracy is not the point. Resource extraction (MONEY) is the game. And it's taxpayers money that allows our glorious leaders to continue the game. Nothing new under the sun.

Let's keep the charade going and don't forget to-------------------BUY MORE. BUY MORE NOW.

The people of Egypt kicked out Mubarak the dictator, and American stoog. The people of Egypt elected Morsi, who was no saint. Now the good old US of A has got Morsi kicked out and put in a Military dictatorship. Poor Egyptians.
