Hi, We're Jaz and Cat. We're two girls from Michigan, looking for a commune, and maybe some more information on the hippie society? We'd love to escape from the warped reality that is today.... The 60's and 70's were far out.... We swear we were born in the wrong generation. Total Deadheads and we love motown/bluegrass/blues/do wop. :afro: We haven't done much of traveling, and we're curious as to what to what else is out there. Any specific location communes in Michigan? Thanks :daisy:
I can give you more info on the commune I am setting up in Ontario. Michigan is not too far away from here. You can write to me at: N.L.eco.community@mail.com
Haha no, they're our fake names :2thumbsup: We just use them because we don't really care for our real names. And we don't really like where we live, too much of a tight community with not very many open-minded people. And we really want to be around new faces and a bunch of peace loving individuals like us! :daisy:
I never got your e-mail and I have had so many problems with the mail.com address so now I am using gmail instead. The new address is N.L.eco.community@gmail.com Looking forward to hearing from you!
hello! I think you would really enjoy The Farm Project. I am looking to create a communal living ecovillage, that is extremely comfortable and ever growing and changing. I had a vision of creating a small place where you can live ,as you said in the sixties and seventies. we are going to have a very laid back village. with a focus on individual freedoms, legal medical cannabis cultivation, organic gardening, a 50 foot geodesic dome greenhouse, following us to grow seasons and some tropical plants. we look to host spiritual and meditational ceremonies, annual events and parties. we look to have a disc golf course designed and installed by members. if you are serious please contact me at thefarmproject2015@gmail.com, we have a 40 acre property now in the UP, but I am trying to find a property in the lower part of Michigan to start. however if I could get 10 people together I would be willing to go to the 40 acre property in the Upper Peninsula. it is just a lot more rugged and dangerous up there so larger groups would be better. contact me if you're serious if we all come together and we all get people involved we can make this happen. the farm project is for everyone who wants to start their own communal living farm, ecovillage or any human path for that matter. this is not about ownership the farm belongs to ALL MEMBERS so let's ALL build OUR HOME.
welcome I'm from the u.p. Iron Mountain love it here hate 45 blow in the winter time but I deal with it
Welcome Jaz and Cat. I hope you find what you are looking for. i recently returned from a trip to the Pacific Northwest and to say the least it was life changing. Ever since I was a child I knew I too was born in the wrong year. I would have loved the 60's and 70's. Although the 80's were awesome in a completely different way, they were lacking the peace and love that I feel I could have flourished in. I know what its like to have a house and feel like its not a home. I am from southeast of Cleveland in Geauga County. I am planning to sell my things, move out west and get a job in the cannabis industry. I learned two things on my trip. 1. If you want to trim buds in Cali just show up in Humboldt early September. 2. The Pacific Coast is a great place to meet friendly, open-minded people. Keep us posted. I'd love to heat your progress. Best Travels and Wishes. Luke.
There's no such thing as being born in the wrong year. Take that to mean whatever you like Welcome to hipforums and good luck in your search!
