You are asking me questions that are out of my hand. And the UN is not the world governmental body.

No you are wrong again. The UN has a governing body like our congress. It is called the UN General Assembly. It also has the Security Council which votes on matters like war to enforce international law. The UN also has NGOs which stands for NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS. They help around the world in cases like Africa during famine. Look up UNESCO, and look up the Montreal Protocol. After that look up the ICC (that's a world court) then look up ICJ (that's another world court) after that come and tell us what you think.

I know what the UN has but it is not a governing body as it has no authority to really do anything. We do not have to follow what the UN says if we do not want to, nor does any other country.

    "traditionalists"?

Scalia: what I like is not explicitly prohibited in the constitution (and when it is, I can't read anyway), so it's totally fine. What I don't like is not specifically allowed in the constitution (and when it is, I can't read anyway) so it's unconstitutional. When I don't like parts of laws and decide they're unnecessary, they become unconstitutional. What's wrong with all these liberal revisionists? The constitution isn't alive, it's totally dead, except when I change it.

I didn't like renquist's positions, but from what I know, he was smart as hell and an excellent practitioner and examiner of rhetoric. Scalia is a disingenuous semi-literate shill.

Torture is okay. Muricans said so.

A few years back a poll showed that 50% of muricans think torture is okay. My response was: 50% of muricans should be tortured, then answer that question again. Oh, excuse the fuck out of me. MORE than 50%.

Who are these Muricans you speak of?
    And again define torture.
    Put it into context also.

Lets say someone is holding your wife and kids, would you torture that person to find out where they are or just let him/her sit there and smile at you?

Here is the definition of torture

    tor·ture (tôr[IMG]ch[IMG]r)
    n.
    1.
    a. Infliction of severe physical pain as a means of punishment or coercion.
    b. An instrument or a method for inflicting such pain.

    2. Excruciating physical or mental pain; agony: the torture of waiting in suspense.
    3. Something causing severe pain or anguish.

    tr.v. tor·tured, tor·tur·ing, tor·tures
    1. To subject (a person or an animal) to torture.
    2. To bring great physical or mental pain upon (another). See Synonyms at afflict.
    3. To twist or turn abnormally; distort: torture

Absence of Justice and perversion (twistedness) of Justice is its own form of torture.

Torture wouldn't be necessary in the example you provided. The offender would need to be treated a certain way to get them to cooperate. Expert interrogators should never torture.

I believe torture has a place, not so much physical as psychological works better and then you have a whole other definition that you have to get into.

And in the situation above it was just you and this person no one else. What would you do?

    What place does torture have?

I want to torture America's god, lucifer, but too many people are currently worshiping him so I'm not likely going to get my way. Do I have your consent to torture lucifer? Do we get to pick and choose who gets tortured? How about who does the torturing? I just want to destroy him at the core level and transform him until he's unrecognizable to himself. There's a wheelchair with his name on it and I've scheduled some gory surgeries. Alright?

If I were the interrogator for an apprehended and detained offender - in an official capacity, not criminal - I'd provide as much comfort and support as I could to encourage, not manipulate or coerce, cooperation. I'd do my best to serve true Justice for all involved. If I wanted something valuable from the person, I'd have to treat them as valuable. Provide incentive, a reason for the person to provide the information.

Except lucifer. He deserves to be deconstructed.

So what you are saying is you support torture in general, regardless of what the Geneva Covention has to say about it. Tell me what sort of guy supports torture? Write back and tell us more about your self. Tell us more about the convolutions of your mind.

Since the Muricans consider themselves to be superior to others, they think they can torture the others, as a matter of convenience of course.

Just about everything on your list was done by US troops to Iraqi civilians at Abu Ghraib prison.

I am against torture in any shape or form....and some is so insidious that it is undetected by anyone else except for the one being tortured. Some people are so good at throwing blame off of themselves......are we speaking in math now? Sorry...I don't. It is not my speciality.

The same guy that would do anything to keep his family safe.

If you had a choice to waterboard someone that by doing so would save 1,000,000 people or do nothing and let them die what would you do?

    Bin Laden, the genius?

He was never detained, as far as I know. But if he were I would want to ensure that he would not be tortured, terrorized, victimized, violated or offended. They murdered him anyway so he isn't a good example.

Why the Hell is all of this evil so normal, anyway? I'm still trying to figure this all out. War, normal. Torture, normal. Murder, normal. Why? What the fuck is everybody's problem?

There's torture going on in the United States against regular people (if you believe the information about it). Remote technology, weaponized.
