Psychedelic Bump XXXIV

Some LSD tonight but i've already had some lagers so its probably gonna be in a different context than usual for me plus I'm meeting up with a friend later too so it's more of social thing tonight than a deep mind raping but it should be interesting nonetheless because as of lately I've kinda felt a bit bored on my trips so maybe its time for a change, my mate that I'm meeting up with is really cool and does psyches himself and we always have interesting convos, maybe i can convince him to drop with me but I'm not pressing the matter as he's a tad fragile just now, I've already dropped lol.

 

Alcohol and psychedelics never mix well in my opinion though, i don't know about you guys but LSD seems to just highlight how toxic the alcohol molecules are compared to the lovely LSD molecules lol.

 

Well yeah, that sounds like not only a waste of LSD, but the type of disrespectful use that leads to problems.

 

Yeh i understand where your coming from man but sometimes its just good to experiment and see things from a different perspective, I'm still finding my way with LSD and seeing what works and what doesn't, I usually do trip in "respectful manor" but for tonight I wanted to experiment using it in a different set and setting than usual. As it goes from tonight experience I'm leaning on the side that LSD isn't a social thing for me but I wanted to experience some bonding with other humans tonight whilst under the effects of acid because I'm interested in this kinda thing yi know. It may be waste of a sacred molecule in some eyes but LSD is abundant and can be replaced but I'm just interested in the different experiences of the human condition since I'm here for the short while to participate. =)

did 20mg 2cb a few weekends ago with gf . . . her experience was like uncorking of emotions, unstoppable laughter. It is definitely strong material when used well. around 40mg strong visuals are present, i'm a huge fan of this one. no ego death per se but lovely effects and good vibes, not entirely recreational either, can be difficult. never had one, but reading about dark 2c-b trips is interesting.

I've only tried alcohol with a psychedelic once. I was on miprocin and enjoying laying in a hammock staring at the wispy clouds. I decided to take a sip of honey whiskey served neat. It was tasty but as soon as I felt the effect of it I didn't want anymore. Felt like a fog coming over my trip.

Actually I take that back. I drank before taking 25mg 4-AcO-DMT at a music festival. I felt like drinking would help me open up a little more since I had been pretty reserved. Long story short I ended up passing out close to the peak cause it was in a super hot tent and I was dehydrated and hadn't eaten in a while. That was scary and stupid O_O

 

in my experience with mixing alcohol and psychedelics - it's almost always a bad idea to decide to trip after you've been drinking.

but if you decide to have a small amount of drinks after dosing, it can be OK. in general, it feels like the alcohol kinda takes away from the psychedelic effects, and i'm sure it can sometimes lead to "train wreck" type trips. but more often, those are caused by a drunk person deciding to take a powerful psychedelic.

i usually don't mix them, and if i do, it's a drink or two near the end of the trip or during the comedown. if i go to a concert and trip, i never drink..i stick to water. but at festivals, i will take some acid in the afternoon and drink a few beers throughout the night.

at my bachelor party, a friend and i took LSD around noon-ish, then drank through the day (my friend drank a decent amount of whiskey) and then dosed 4-aco-dmt (i think my friend took ~25 mg...my dose was 32). anyways, my friend passed out about 10-15 minutes after the 4-aco-dmt and had a mini-seizure type event. it seems sorta like a low blood sugar thing too, maybe.... but it was pretty scary. actually, i haven't taken 4-aco-dmt since then, over 2 years ago. i'm fortunate to still have a quarter gram of the stuff...i will just have to make sure to not drink with it


GreyGoo, if you are looking for a social LSD trip, try a low dose (1/2 hit or 1 weak-ish hit) in a social setting where people might be drinking a little, but avoid drinking yourself. you can order cranberry and seltzer water. that kind of low dose sometimes provides a bit of social lubricant, maybe more likely if you are around close friends rather than acquaintances or strangers. all-in-all, it's not the type of setting that i prefer to take LSD in, but it could be fun sometimes.

my friend likes to take L and go to the bar. he's kinda an alcoholic, so he goes to the bar often. but he tends to like blotters that are on the weaker side. i got him some ~150 ug ones once, and they were way too strong so that's why i recommend a weaker dose for situations like that.

 

I agree. After dosing would be smartest although it might take a little away from the trip. But if you're looking for a social boost that could help. You might call what I had when I passed out a mini seizure. It wasn't long lasted or full-fledged but my eyes rolled back for a sec and my body twitched a little. Creepy. I was confused with what happened when I came to, hoping I wasn't dying oh man

 

yeah that's what happened to him, although i was outside when it happened. my brother and some of my friends saw it though.

pretty crazy that it happened to you and him from almost the same dose of 4-aco-dmt. how much did you drink before hand?

 

bump for 11 grams kratom, bowl of bud, 40 mg mxe.

I think the kratom numbed out the richness of weed and mxe, oh well, you live and learn

 

My inside of my body and skin felt dry as leather for days after trying 4-ho-mipt. Both times. I'm not a fan of it.
I really feel like I have no desire to try any other exotic rc. 2ce, 4-aco-dmt, mxe are still boss.

 

I had been enjoying socializing with alcohol the day before so I thought a substantial amount going into tripping would be nice. I can't remember exactly. I was mostly sippin on some kraken and coke. It was pretty strong though. Can't remember how much exactly. I wasn't wasted or anything but it was a good amount. Really wish I had saved it for after the peak. Now I know haha.

 

that is a rather bizarre after-effect. i have never experienced that on any of my several trips with 4-ho-mipt. bummer.

what doses did you try? did you enjoy the actual trip?

 

yes it seem like if your tripping and then drink some beers everything can be ok., depends on the person too.. but Ive usually seen those drunk already and get the bright idea to trip when already drunk bad shit happens..

only a few weeks ago someone passed some lucy my way. I had my doubts it was anything but blank due to the tastelessness. which was better blank than being a nbome however this was not the case. It was just mild lucy and I wound up taking 2hits.. afterwards I was tripping and decided to take a walk and get some beers. from the time after I was having a blast but I feel it took away from some the lucy effects being those was weak in the first place. but I also didnt feel like getting all that into the psychedelic effect alone by itself.

 

The feeling of extreme dryness and bad times with mixing alcohol and psychedelics is likely all just about dehydration. When we're high we forget to do things like drink enough water. In fact, most westerners don't drink enough water in an average sober day. I live my day with a water bottle attached to me, no matter where I go and what I'm doing. Source of a lot of medical complains in society as well.

I too am attached to my water bottle. It's very important to me and even though I was taking in a lot of water with the alcohol that probably only brought me up to the slightly dehydrated level.

I remember reading a trip report on erowid that said when you're drinking under the influence of LSD you have trouble realizing how much alcohol you're taking in cause it tastes good and you're thirsty so it makes it really easy to throw them back until it's too late and bad shit happens. I can't find the report unfortunately.

 

i think you're referring to the extreme dry feeling that felix just mentioned....he didn't mention drinking alcohol though, just the 4-ho-mipt
