Well... I can't post video links that will embed. But I can make a small list of things that immediately come to mind Pink Floyd - Echoes Jimi Hendrix - 1983, a Merman I Should Turn to Be The Allman Brothers - Mountain Jam The Black Crowes - Thorn in My Pride(live versions) B.B. King - Lucille SRV - Life Without You (the live Daytona 1987 version is particularly good)
Aerianne, I Have Been Trying To Quote Your No 10 Post For The Last 50 minutes, So I Finally Conceded Defeat And Made This Post To Say How Much I Love "Alices Restaurant", One Of My Fave's Ever... Cheers Glen. PS....Tried To Post A Hippie Smiley But Since The Big "Train Wreck" Of 2014 This Hippy Website No Longer Has One.
Alices's Restaurant takes me back home. It takes me back to one of my brother's playing it for mom and her sitting through the whole thing. He played it all the time after that. It is the background track for some of my fondest memories.
If you were around in 1968 you will recognize this song. We used to put it on a turntable and let it play over and over. But few people know the entire version which is actually made up of a couple tracks. So I stuck two videos in here, the last is the song as known by most. The first is the intro that almost nobody knows. Notice how far ahead of his time Arthur Brown was. Watching these videos you can see where Alice Cooper got his act and you even see where Kiss got their face paint! He's still around. http://youtu.be/h1b19w9Pygk http://youtu.be/en1uwIzI3SE
