Watch 'Worlds Greatest Dad' , a movie I didnt even know existed until his death

Pretty eerie the similarities between the movie and whats happened now.

The storyline is basically that Williams character has a son that dies accidentally in the Michael Hutchence way, then the dad covers it up by making out it was a suicide, then post suicide all those around him go Dr Phil and make him out to be a postumous hero, even though when he was alive no one liked him

you are so simple. when someone has an idea, or god forbid a bigger thought/discussion point

    they have issues.

do you just respond emotionally to everything that's "not cool man"?

You're the reason half the population is forced to be stupid.

I know how you operate mr. status quo so I'll let you know someone has already 'liked' that post.

*gasp* so in your stupid eyes, it's now Okay, because popularity and the dumb status quo divines what's accepted. :|D

try reading the content - cuz if you did, it would take a bafoon to take offence.

I have issues for lmfao saying what exactly? 1% doesn't control all the wealth?
wars aren't fought on false flag operations?
people aren't conditioned to fullfill useless dreams of self-inflation?

No wonder Robin Williams killed himself. This is where I was going you batch.

helllo? you're not reading. You're being a status-quo b#tch. you're responding to the social quality of my post -- too bitter or stupid (I dunno which) to comprehend and actually attempt to discuss the content.

Which if you did, there's a lot of goodies in, and they're all very on topic. Sorry I didn't post "omg RW- am cry" and moved on. <--- that's clearly all your brain can handle.

If anything this has reminded folk that everyone deep down inside is [possibly] sad. If they didn't already know. And thus we should value each other, cuz we're all in this together.

    R.I.P, Robin.

I liked Mork and Mindy. And I also liked some of his movies. I never saw them all.

I've been wondering how someone so successful, and with a family still with him could take his own life.
Hell, hes' even got 4 movies yet to be released, for crying out loud.

I've been listening to all the talk this week about his drinking, drugs, and depression, but I still really wondered why he did it.
Then I found this today: Robin Williams Was In Early Stages of Parkinson’s Disease, Says Wife
    From: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/robin-williams-was-in-early-stages-of-parkinsons-disease-says-wife-1201283014/

^ a commenter at the bottom of that article had this to say.. Jim Laubler says:

    August 14, 2014 at 12:11 pm

"For those questioning his bravery, this proves you dead wrong. I think it took a lot of bravery to put the disease away and spare your family from the upcoming care and hardships. I would hope I have the same bravery if my conditions get that bad.

Thanks for taking care of the troops, Robin. Enjoy the rest and we soldiers will protect your family from afar."

Now I'm left wondering if Mr. Laubler was right?

I highly suspect that if that is not the exact thing that there is likely something that he knows about in either the health area or something else that we don't know about that helped push him over the edge to do it. That's just what I'm guessing and obviously I could be wrong. But I know a few years ago he had had open heart surgery so just there is the possibility that his heart is still not good... there could be numerous other things.

It’s clear he was slowly breaking down both physically and mentally as revealed in the story told by his wife, and he was also in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease.

This country never has and probably never will embrace physician-assisted suicide (or euthanasia) because of its “Judeo-Christian beliefs” but there should be an alternative to prolonged suffering

    Agreed.

But yea, there is- but you just gotta do it yourself as it's not legal for anyone to help you.

A long, painful, slow illness is pretty much the only circumstance I totally understand the choice to end your own life. (well, as much as anyone can understand without having personally been through the situation). What I don't understand and maybe this is just me, but there is no way if I was in a situation such as that and made that choice that I would chose to end things with hanging myself. (or cutting my wrists for that matter). For me it would be an intentional overdose for 100% certain.

Robin Williams was more than some celebrity, as a stand up comedian he was arguably on of the most important and influential artists of our time. In the lineage that began with Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Johnathan Winters (Williams idol and mentor) etc, an ad lib style comedy that reflected back at us, like never before, the bizarre foibles and hilarious truisms of human nature and culture. Robin Williams was more than a comedian and actor, he was a cultural and social anthropologist par excellence. Through the abstraction of comedy, he reflected his insight of the culture in which we are all surrounded.

    RIP

I know you're mostly trolling, but the reason he said you have issues is because of your crass moral condemnation of others, which is really nothing more than a bourgeois substitute for actual commitment to the perceived problems about which you're apparently so happy to lecture others.

The post I've quoted in which you insult him numerous times not only proves his point, but also contradicts the image that you actually care about on any meaningful level any of the issues you so flippantly addressed.

I mean, come on. Following up such a malicious tirade with "And thus we should value each other, cuz we're all in this together" is undeniably either trolling or abject mental retardation.

i can get mad at one twat and still want the best for human kind.

maybe he should discuss points and content (which I provided, even if I trolled or littered with an attitude),

but instead he just left a baseless slander. proving he's a twat.

You have a lot to prove if you ever want the respect that TY has on this forum.

TY only needs to say very little which gets you rambling opening your mouth removing all doubt.

If you want the respect that we give to Tyrson I suggest you start by unplugging your keyboard.

It was me that liked your post although "I'm depressed millionaire life" made me cringe. Being wealthy or famous (obviously) does not make you immune to mental health issues.

I am sick of hearing about his death though because thousands of good people die everyday without all the media drama. I do not think that the media attention will stop anyone that wants to suicide from doing so.

    Here's a thought.

    Quit trolling this thread.

If people want to remember someone they admired, someone that made them laugh, someone that they feel a sadness for having to end things this way, they don't need to be reading around your troll posts.

First thing you do is come in here and call a guy that just ended his life stupid, You said it made no sense because he had millions, like that should have fixed it all. Later you come back saying we live in a world where those with money kill millions and all we want to do is talk about this one man's life. (Hint... It's a thread about this one man's life. Get a clue)

You are obviously having issues about people with money,.. fine. Start your own damn thread about it and leave it out of this one. This is not the place.

This is also not the place for your personal attacks against me, you want to call me names, do it in PM. Other thoughts I may have towards you I won't post here.
