I think one of the main reasons that foofy sweetened coffees and granola/nurtition bars have become more popular is that they're a way for adults to eat candy while pretending that it's either healthy or a grown-up thing to do.
I love the caramel flavors. This morning I had "Unique Coffee Roasters, 'Salted Caramel Flavor,'" coffee.
i enjoy coffee in the evening of my day, as a form of desert. untill i have actually eaten, i do not care for its effects on an empty stomac. thus, unlike may be typical of 'my countrymen' i tend NOT to think of it as a morning beverage. nor as a requirement of my day. but rather as a thing to be savored at leasure. like chocklet. a substance i frequently favor combining with it, in endless ways.
I am drinking this organic, dark roast 'Sumatra Nights' coffee from Wegmans at the moment. Good shit. Very strong and full-flavored coffee, which I like.
well that's pretty much the way i drink coffee when i do. which is neither for breakfast nor often. as something to enjoy. not something 'to get my motor started'. FOOD does that. preferably meat and noodles. and nothing fryed either. nor sugarfied.
I am drinking Marley Coffee, which I just picked up at the store last night. The particular variety I am drinking is called 'One Love', which is a medium-roast organic coffee from Ethiopia. It's really good. Apparently the company is owned by Bob Marley's son Rohan.
Checking in - working on my first 4 shots of espresso for the day, and losing my headache. Sometimes sleeping in on weekends really fucks me up when I miss my coffee time.
my morning can be any time in the 24 hours it takes our planet to rotate. coffee is something i like as a desert beverage. it is not something i drink before eating. whatever time my day begins, if i drink it before eating, it gives me diarea. that being said, i respect certain flavours of the coffee bean itself, with or without other flavorings being added. i always drink coffee with milk in some form, but no sugars in any form other, then those present in the chocklet, which other then milk, is the only thing i add with it. to me there is a spectrum of actual coffee flavors, with the process called french roast at my least favorite end of that spectrum. the end i call acid, because that's how it tastes to me. at the other end of that spectrum, the end that i love, are the deeper, richer fuller tasting beans and ways they are processed. these are called the mocha beans. i prefer to buy them whole, and grind them only as needed. i do not care for preground coffee in tins. it looses its virtues almost as soon as such containers are opened. it is still possible to make a decent tasting cup from them, but only by adding other things. freeze dried on the other paw, it is processed into something that does not die the way grounds used to in cans. i say used to now, because, i don't recall seeing coffee packaged that way any more, which is good. those one cup things they have in hotels is fine for hotels, being preportioned, they reduce labour expense for them, but for the home, they are rediculously expensive. so whole bean or freeze dried, never pre-ground. and generally with milk and no other sweetener then the sugar in powdered chocklet, or if its a resteraunt, and they offer those flavored creamers, like hazelnut or mocha, those are good too. one thing i also do, i'm drinking it not at home, is i will often put ice with it. that is of course, unless i'm drinking actual esspresso. people are welcome to think what they will of my thoughts, but these are my preferences in regard to it.
I was drinking store own brand cheap instant granules today but ran out of that a few hours ago.Now I just have plenty of green tea to chill with as I listen to some good 90's techno,as I just spent my last wonga/dosh/bucks on a full weeks food shopping, leaving me with 59 pence,so alcohol is definitely out of the question.
