i was just wondering....

whats it called when you get your ears pierced and then like strech them out. so you get a hole about the size of a finger or so?
i dont want to do this, im just courious.

 

A tunnel or a plug. i have a 5 mm tunnel but its been stretched to 6 mm before but i lost the plug. to get your finger through you'd need at least 10 mm.

 

What's tha process of gettin plugs anyways? (We call 'em plugs or gauges in tha US) I mean, I wanna get some, but how long does it take to get a substantial hole in yer ear, and how much do those suckers hurt?

If you stretch carefully and slowly over time they should barely hurt. But if you rush the process and stretch too fast you can do some major damage to your lobes, and it will hurt like a mother fucker.

 

i'm only up to a 10 gauge...
when i first gauged them it was from a regular piercing to a 14. i did it sometime earlier this year at school. i had to force the fucker through and it did hurt. as you go higher they stretch on their own and when you move to the next size up it shouldn't really hurt, it'll just feel tight. you could probably move up another size within two to three months

 

I started off at 14 guage and now I am up to 2 guage over the course of about a year. As gloom is beautiful said if you use captive bead rings they start to stretch on their own because of the weight. I am probably going up to 0 guage in a few weeks and that will probably be as far as I go but then I said that at six guage. I just keep wanting to get them bigger.

 

I have my ears to 3/4, which is just about an inch. It took about a year and they are fabulous. It feels no different then having a standard ear piercing. I love them, as of all my piercings they become a part of me and if I didn't have them I would not feel the same.

 

try www.bodypunks.com they have some killer tapers and doing your ears very slowly..about every 2 to three months before upping to a bigger size, and than once stretched to desired size(after 00 gage u have to weight 'em) get your desired jewelry....oh and by the way its called stretching. mine are a little bigger than a 000 gage, and i just bought a pair of killer pyrex glass earlets..much luck

 

basically the way your SUPPOSED to do it is go up one size per month by using the little horns... they say if you do it much quicker you rip the skin and end up with a bum hole effect and dammaged tissue :S
The way to do it at home is slowly put more and more rings into each hole.... thats the cheap way.

Mines only a 6mil but i dont want it much bigger.

 

I'd love to gauge my ears..but theyre hella sensitive...like when I first got them peirced...my body reacted negatively to the metal and I almost fainted

 

they dont have to use metal to gauge them...try acrylic or bone instead.

 

My third holes are an 8g. i did each hole in about 5 minutes, going from a 14g. i had them at an 8 before, but the holes didnt react well the first time, so i took them out, let them heal for a few weeks, and then i did it again. i love my 8g's.

 

yer not suppose to jump that drastically for one reason...who wants to tear their earlobe in half???? not to mention it will give u nasty scar tissue.

 

wow ive seen em around alot,but damn they must hurt. Do they ever completley go back to a normal size?

 

actually it is completely painless and yes if they are smaller than a 3/4 size they will go back to their original size

 

you could also use glass plugs, go to a head shop and see if the guy will blow you some phatty glass for your ears...but i just have a question.. WHY- do you guys want to make the holes in your ears bigger?? just wondering becasue i see a 1000 cats runnin around with big holes and i can't figure out why someone would want to put there finger threw there ear?!

 

Doesn't that hurt? I couldn't think of doing this to my ears. You don't see it much in this area. (St. Louis area)

my friend could be bothered to get hs ears stretched so hole punched them instead!
