LOL, I do not think Israel hitting the school was on purpose. Other than Palestinian terrorists, it is not in Israel's interest to target civilians, when it is the terrorists who are firing rockets at them, building secret tunnels to Gaza, organising suicide bombings, killing and even ubducting children, whilst the supposedly peaceful Palestine is not even lifting a finger to stop them.

 

To be or not to be....that is the question

 

Well, I was talking about this in real life last night and I don't think that is their intention. But I also don't think they care too much about avoiding it.

 

Israel uses its missiles to protect its people. Hamas uses its people to protect its missiles.

 

I guess I could read up on the subject a little more, but I dont really understand when people portray Israel as an innocent nation protecting their people and Palestinians as being aggressive terrorists.

I think its just the American paradigm, not necessarily the truth.

Israel has killed a hell of a lot more Palestinians than the other way around, this much I know.

 

And that's all that Hamas wants you to know. They're cynical bastards who care little about their own people. That's why the current government of Egypt no longer supports them. What kind of people store missiles in schools and hospitals? Cynical bastards, that's who. They want to get CNN to broadcast footage of lots of civilian casualties, to change world opinion in their favor. I can't respect that, no matter what the ultimate goal might be.

 

Well I will also say that although I think Israel could try harder to NOT hit schools, etc.... I do also think that hamas doesn't give a shit when Palestinian civilians get hit... to the extent where I do feel like they probably like it because it makes Israel look back. But in any case the people I feel the most bad for are the Palestinian PEOPLE that AREN'T a part of Hamas.

 

Nobody is looking out for them.

Let's say there were missiles stored in schools and hospitals (for the record....the UN has said there were absolutely no weapons stored at the 6 UN schools that were bombed).....does that make it ok to bomb people who had nothing to do with the weapons? Even if you can perform the mental acrobatics needed to justify killing innocent people.....look at the pics for yourself. These weren't precision strikes on targets harboring missiles or Hamas. There are entire areas that were completely leveled as if they were indiscriminately carpet bombed.

If you can look at those pictures and still say that killing all those people is justified....then fine but at least acknowledge it for what it is. It's genocide. In any case, it's still the very definition of "collective punishment" which is a war crime under international law. I'm not excusing Hamas at all. They are guilty of crimes as well.

 

You know I really wish I knew who this was I heard on tv a night or two ago (I think two nights ago).... it was some Jewish guy that's a supporter of Israel and in the media in some way but I didn't know who he was then and I still don't unfortunately... however he was talking about how certain people in Israel want and think they SHOULD completely level--destroy-- Gaza City. And he was going on and on about why he believes it is the best and only option. Apparently there are quite a few people on that side that believe that... just totally destroy it all. What's my point? Well my point is that that is rather scary- not so much much what he said- like someone or someone's thinking that.... but actually being bold enough to say that out loud and knowing no one is going to do anything.... you know, say anything is seriously fucked up about that.
