"When one has been there before one does not necessarily recognise it again," the little mouse reminds thedope that perception is a funny thing and not twice the same. "Do not humans and mice, or dopes alike each have a mind that bends and twists reality to suit their needs, that makes them want to see what isn't necessarily there, or see what is there but refuse to acknowledge it for what it truly represents?" The little mouse laughs out loud for such foolishness. "Yes, what else can one do when men and mice do not recognise the same thing for what it is and each hold their own filter in place?" Sipping her coffee while sat at the big dinner table and staring out through the double doors into the wet garden which needs a gardener desperately she sighs and whispers, "Caught in the cave of their own mind with nothing to see than the reflection of their ideas on the wall. A reflection of reality which is taken for truth."

thedope having remembered his own mind could only repeat that we are of the same mind concerning deja vu and perception.

"Are not all of one mind?" the little mouse asks and then grins. "Do not all living beings have just one goal? Though perception differs from one to the next for nurture and nature is filter through which it is coloured until the personal idea of reality is built and a mind is set." Laughing out loud the little mouse reaches out and takes that lovely cheese from her plate to pop it in her mouth. Closing her eyes to savour the taste even better she refuses to let any filter stand between her and this experience for the reality of cheese is something no mouse can resist. "Although a deja vu is never far away when it comes down to the dope of cheese there is only one thing a mouse aspires to be."

Stood in front of the double doors looking out into the sunny garden the little mouse can't help but notice her reflection. "How is it that the demons within rarely ever stare back at one even when one know they are there? How come they can hide so well until it is too late? But do not those demons define the human and make them whole? Does not a human have both dark and light within themselves? Demons as well as angels, for can good be without evil?" The little mouse smiles as she thinks of how she's just heard a woman say that one must heal ones self from within and open ones heart before love can be fully shared and loving another can only be if one fully loves ones self, demons and angels." The little mouse sips her coffee and nods, "Yes," she whispers. "Embrace the demons and love them away."

"Is the soul a bare canvas for hurt to paint upon, love to colour, and demons to devour," the little mouse asks. Not expecting an answer really for she knows the answer. It is our inner most self which colours and taints, it is all who we are and what we could be, have been, done and went through that makes one who one is, now and forever. "Can one really change? Can one really reinvent ones self if one discovers the demons that live within, or should one learn to tame the demons and live with them, find a way to love and be loved demons and all?" The little mouse shakes her head and sips her coffee after read yet another part of life and found one can never know another like another will never truly know her. "Are all locked into the cave of their own making? Closed minds, closed eyes and ears, deaf to what is said behind the words uttered, blind to the language of the body, hearing what one fears to hear and seeing what one despises but what isn't actually there apart from in their perception of the other." Smiling the little mouse stares at her reflection in the glass door of the kitchen cabinet while pouring another coffee. "And back again to perception and misconception, wrong assumptions and how those break into pieces what could be the best thing ever."

"Love conquers all ..." The little mouse sighs and sips her first coffee of no doubt many to follow after a sleepless night. "... but that isn't the whole truth, not if there's more below the surface than undying love and a deep want for the other."

("...good reads, though I hadn't been here a while but now that I've read them, I'm all kind of fired up by thoughts to think upon, where I liked the eye especially..." went the goblin who have started reading the threads in this section to a coffee again, adding "...no I've been doing landings, where either attitudes have changed or I'm outwitting their banhammer better...")

"In the quiet moments of dawn when nature awakes and the mind is still at peace is when we can see ourselves the most clear," the little mouse says while she sips her herbal tea which is meant to cleanse herself after a weekend of excess. "But how much truth is there in the vision one has of ones self? How clear does one really see ones self through the rose tinted glasses of perpetual optimism? And does one see all the facets of ones self?" The little mouse laughs and adds, "Yes, one can see ones self very clear with all there's to see of ones self but nevertheless decide to be happy in the eye of the storm that rages inside, the battle between goals of ones different sides for one day that turmoil will settle and one will be left to stand as one and clear the rubble with a light heart for when one decides to be happy and chooses for ones self there will always be another that has to bend, or break." The little mouse smiles and pours herself another cup. "Be happy or sad, one can decide one or the other for in all sadness there will be a glimmer of hope, a seed of happiness for one to cultivate and grow into a strong tree with its roots firmly in the soil of ones soul and its branches reaching to the light of ones shining heart, expanding beyond ones self to share ones happiness and energy with those one loves most and become one with ones other half, but one can only share happiness if one is truly feeling that within the depths of ones soul, without a shadow of doubt."

"fear needs to be shed before true freedom can be gained," the little mouse warns the one who fears for no real reason. "If one wants to be free to be the most one can be and enjoy all life's possibilities one must face the beast." She faces her reflection and thinks of what she fears most. "To be free of fear of the unknown and stand with an open mind, an open soul in the eye of the storm and not be blown away, loose ones self can be done if one can find strength within the depths of ones self. But to look within the deepest depths and find the dark that one fears ..." The little mouse shakes her head and closes her eyes as not to see what she fears most but what lives inside and is always there.

("...your posts are changing again I feel, gaining depth there..." went the goblin slowly editing through his posts here on this forum now, then adding "...yes, it is interesting to note how fifty "shades of gray' started out as fan fiction, where I don't know how that reflects upon today's readers, but it both gives hope and takes hope away too, hard to say what is wanted there I mean, so just perhaps then, that's why I actually write for my ghosts instead, these ghosts who keep coming back for answers I don't know, and reassurances I can't make, ghosts of the past, ghosts in the present but more real than readers even...")

"All is subject to change," the little mouse whispers in the silent night while she looks at her reflection in the double doors leading to the ever changing garden. "The nature of the beast is to change into a beautiful chimaera, or a butterfly, or even into dust, for nothing is eternally for ever the same." And the little mouse nibbles from her late night snack before turning into her own nocturnal being from mouse to ... and she laughs. "What ever she needs to be but most of all what ever feels right to be, for one must be true to ones self and expel the monster before one can be true to another." Feeling the closeness of that other now more than ever she can't help but wonder.

"What if one discovers one that is merely an empty shell to be filled with whatever is needed?" The little mouse takes a big bite from her olive sourdough bread spread with salted butter. She licks her lips and relishes in the taste of fresh from the oven bread with the butter melting and seeping into the slice. "Not very surprising though with all one has to do to survive in life." She shakes her head. "Life should be rejoiced not survived, but unfortunately most are to busy surviving to enjoy what life has to offer only to find that their shell will never be good enough to hold what is needed."

"What would happen if one could only see the truth? If one could only tell the truth? Would that result in more or less war, arguments and unhappy humans?" The little mouse shakes her behind on the tones of that song which drives her sad but she can't help but smile when it comes on. "The truth, what is the truth? Is it what is in the mind of one and not in the other? Is what one thinks, perceives as reality, the truth or is it what the other sees? Who knows what the truth is? What if reality is only what one wants it to be and has nothing to do with facts. What if the figments of ones mind are real and the ones of another's mind are as real but do not align with the other's? What if all could let go of their reality to find a common, new one? Ah, but that would be in a perfect world, but there is no perfection, only life."

"To dream and never awaken, to sleep and rest, to roam free of the past, to let the future unfold as carefree as a newborn," the little mouse sighs and sadly smiles. "But that would be perfection and there is only life."

"Why if fear is a choice and only danger is real does one feel fear when one rather chooses to be happy and live without fear?" The little mouse shakes her head and thinks of fears all too real. "Best not go there for the road back might be a treacherous one. No, danger might be real, but so is fear for the mind is a powerful thing and when something is real enough in the mind it affects the body as if it were to exist in reality. One might be able to choose not to fear, but fear is as real as is the danger of it and one might not have a choice to make when the mind is conditioned to fear what isn't real and turns it into reality without a choice," the little mouse whispers and sighs. "Yes, one can know about dangers and their reality and the unrealistic fears but to discard the fear as being unreal is to do away with air for what one can't see must not be real. Fear is as real as the mind allows it to be. A choice without conscious thought. The danger of fear is as real as fear itself or the perceived danger that provokes the fear." The little mouse nibbles her cheese and sips her cidre on this sultry night in the garden. Alone and afraid of what tomorrow will bring. "Reassurance and rational thoughts cannot always drive out demons or the fear they provoke," the little mouse says as she empties the bottle and opens up a bag of cheese and onion crisps.

"Love can clear fear!" said Dejavu cheerfully to the hungry mouse. "If you find yourself fighting for your life, in any protracted sense, it can help to remember the adventure in doing so!" At this rate, with such unwieldy words of wisdom, Dejavu would be relegated to the self-help section of humanity, so he lightened his load, pulling out a proverb that he still carried about with him. "Laughter is the... well, it's a medicine at any rate!"

"When laughter is the medicine most of humans could use a dose of it," the little mouse says while giggling and gently touching her sun-kissed whiter parts. "yes, laughter is a medicine of sorts if not that at least it is a cure. A cure and a way of making one realise that there is always another side to things rather than just the one seen before. Seeing the sun and a woman in the clouds kissing her man made that much clear today like nothing else could have done. Only too bad things like that do not last and all things have to come to an end, but not to say they can't be repeated, not when the spirit is high and one is ready to see what needs to be seen and stops to look for things that are only alive in ones mind." The little mouse nibbles on her snack and smiles before she says, "Ah, and there we have it again fear, is it real or only alive in ones mind? Can one choose to be happy?" Laughing out loud and grabbing a towel to dry her freshly washed hair she says, "It's the simple things that makes one happy."

("...that fear there post is a beauty..." mentioned the goblin who hadn't been here in awhile and now regrets his not having been here sooner, then adding "...my problem is that I am not editing enough my posts for creating news ones instead, sounds good till I remembers how editing hews it into something better still..." and then the goblin laughed having just noticed dejavu's scream picture there)

"Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder," the little mouse remarks while she smiles and finds her garden quite beautiful now that the gardeners have been and worked their magic. "Yes, beauty and perception one cannot exist without the other, or one only exists because of the other, unless that is the same thing?" Smiling the little mouse eats her dessert and closes the lid on the other half of the prepared meal. "Looks quite delicious, beautiful even, the green of the asparagus on a bed of blood red pasta dotted with golden brown grilled mushrooms. Beauty and taste both subject to perception and never the same."
