Yeah, from my own experience, it feels like...cartilage kind of? That's how it felt for me, anyway. It's really neat feeling it, though.

Do you notice the icrease in size as well? Because I've found so far it's barely noticeable in some girls.

Yeah, that seems to be the case for many women as well. I guess it's not so much that their clits don't get swollen, but the erection gets overshadowed by other things(as you said, the entire vulva getting swollen and other signs of arousal), so to speak. So it's still there and it's still erect and all, but is often not really noticed... I don't know, that's what it seems to me, anyway.

Of course, it depends on each girl too, as far as I know. I have one friend whose clit, according to her, does get noticeably bigger and harder when erect. I'm just really fascinated by this organ, and love learning about it.

The thing though, is that I've found most people approach the topic of clitoral erection with more of a "yeah, so?" type attitude. Kind of close to being dismissive in a way..... I've read one article that suggests this to be a phenomenon possibly due to societal conditioning and how the female sexuality is still viewed as something to be handled with caution.

The author of the article also talks about how the clitoral erection is more common in children since they start out being totally uninhibited. Then as they grow older into adulthood, they become more conditioned to be shameful of sexuality and overall become more "fit" to live in the society we live in. Basically the article is about sexual shame, sexual dysfunctions, and how unhealthy it is to be conditioned into having hang-ups like that. When I read it, I found myself nodding and saying "hmm, this guy raises some good points."
