Brutally Honest, Totally Transparent, Confrontational or Avoidant?

Le Aura, I take everything (almost) Mr. Vanilla says as condescending because I've seen his comments for over a year and I've rarely commented about how rude he's being to others, including myself. Unreasonable in fact. At this point I don't care if he was actually being condescending...I may be a bit fired up at the moment, but I feel like it needed to be said, regardless. If someone can dish as much as he can, he should be able to take it.

 

orrrrrrr --- you are reading WAY too much into a common expression used by a lot of people to mean that they are being totally honest and straight forward.

It's quite presumptuous to conclude dishonesty because of words being misconstrued.

this IS the problem with "common expressions used by a lot people".
they aren't thinking about what they're saying.
too often this becomes an excuse for not thinking at all.

also: dishonesty = lack of truth, therefor how is presumption?

From my recent experience, I'd say you are absolutely correct.
It only takes one abusive post to derail a whole thread. Altho he isn't the only one like that here.

Me? I don't tend to be "brutally honest", I'm more tactful.
I'm not totally transparent. Thats not practical.
I'm not "avoidant", that makes no sense.
I'm more incident based/strategy based.
Sometimes u have to confront pricks. Sometime you have to bide your time.

 

If by sometimes you mean always, then yes

 

In real life, only a small number of people know what I really think about anything. I'm not willing to pay the price for honesty.
