Hi Luce! My soul animal? iggy: Ha, must be! I'm starting to look just like him, my soul is shining through.
So far today (for myself) just....bacon. Lots of bacon. Think I'm gonna make a burrito soon but not sure as usual...
I haven't had bacon in ages. Mmm, a nice BLT. I made striploin steak today (sorry, BBAD) with crushed peppercorns, tarragon mushrooms, dill buttered baby red potatoes, sautéed snap peas, and pickled banana peppers. I'm stuffed!
I rarely use recipes but this is what I did and used Small red onion Coconut milk Green Curry paste to taste Coarse black pepper Red Pepper slivered Can of baby corn pieces Cilantro Chicken boneless breasts slivered Served on medium rice noodles but also great on Jasmine rice. I have also in the past added water chestnuts and ginger and thai basil when I can get it.
i tried ordering chinese on the way home but the damn morons wouldnt answer the phone...and the sign said open when i drove past it so today ill probably end up cooking a package of liptons noodles with a can of tuna added
today the living area, which the kitchen opens directly onto, is still filled with late sleepers. i've already had a cupa noodles with some tuna added, with hot water from the bathroom sink, which is closer to my room then the kitchen. i suspect i may hobble bobble down to one of the eateries clustered around the nearest intersection of arterials, rather than inconsiderately disturb them.
I made a spicy turkey chili with cornbread on the side. I think I overdid it on the spices, I've got slight heartburn now. :chef:
Will be doing a calamari and steak on the BBQ with fresh steamed veggies and maybe a potato salad side mix. =]
I know… isn't Thai basil hard to get? I may have to grow it myself. I like to add fresh ginger to my curries too. Not the same without it. Thanks for the recipe, Heat, can't wait to try it! I made another leg of lamb steak the other day. I'm really liking them. I bought another one this week and put it in the freezer.
looks like there are three types (wiki) The one that we call 'Thai basil', then there's Thai Holy basil, and also Thai lemom basil. The one I really want to try is the Vietnamese cinnamon basil! I love southeast Asian food. :2thumbsup: I thought that was a given. Curries must have at least fresh ginger and garlic! I can't even imagine a good currie without. Nice looking plate of lamb BTW
