I concur - I was barefoot there recently and saw one other guy barefoot and a kiwi girl (who I spoke to) but I remember a few years back I'd always spot quite a few barefooters. Personally I think Camden isn't what it was - it's lost it's alternative edge and now seems like a bland tourist trap...
Imagine the image up-turned noses of customers and staff as you shop in your bare feet, at Sainsburys or Tesco, on a Saturday morning before unloading your haul into the boot of your prestige German marque, parked in the car park.
I never get funny looks in Supermarkets. Don't know why, being the only barefooter I eberw see in there but on supermarkets no-one cares at all. Even when I've smashed a glass bottle no-one's been bothered.
I have seen about half a dozen or so in the past few weeks in the Hull area and one barefoot jogger in Barton
Very disappointing. Have only seen Two barefoot people all year here in Birmingham. Not even seen any late night revellers worse for wear staggering about carrying their footwear! Apart from "Pete the feet" I must be the only regular barefooter in Brum!
I'm going to Clumber Park today, it's a nice sunny morning, will be disappointed if I don't see a few others barefoot.
Well I did see a few people in the park, but only sat having picnics or playing with Frisbees, that kind of thing. I reckon a lot of the people that wear flip flops would actually like to be barefoot, but daren't do it.
Just a thought, i never seen anyone eat their tea before. Fork or spoon? Plate or bowl?,,,, ah, must be using bowls,,,
My previous video went fungal (I don't know what to call it, it wasn't quite viral) but largely off the back of the football related buzz. This one I suspect is much more niche, but also much more relevant to those of us who post here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2DRJU0HQyc"]Central London Barefoot Meetup 15th June 2014 - YouTube
Loved It, Wish I Was There With You, Certainly Looked Like A Fun Day About Town, Maybe One Day When I Start Travelling The World I Will Look You Up... Cheers Glen.
I saw 15 other people barefoot yesterday evening. It was in my yoga class though. It was nice to see no one wearing socks and most people came in flip flops. Did consider walking there barefoot, but it wouldn't be right turning up with dirty soles. Walked home barefoot obviously. I was near the back of the group and I could see bare feet in every direction
There was a barefoot walk today organised by Epping Forest centre. I only managed to find out about this in Time Out magazine this week. It's intention was to introduce barefoot walking. Unfortunately only 9 people turned up including myself and my son. There were a few who goes barefoot all the time but only during the better climates and a few part-time barefooters. We had a barefoot guide who talked a little about the benefits of walking barefoot and also goes barefoot running though she does not go barefoot full time. We had about an hour walk through the forest walking on different surfaces like grass, mud and gravel. It was a lovely peaceful sunny Saturday morning. It was disappointing that it had a low turn out though I did comment that perhaps it wasn't advertised enough and it needed to be promoted. It was only by chance that I got to know about it. The guide did mention that they have the intention of organising more walks. We left our email addresses with her to contact us about future events. Perhaps I will inform her about this website which will give her a better insight to people who live barefoot all the time. http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/events/pages/event-detail.aspx?eventid=1626 :sunny:
Been catching up on the Glastonbury footage this afternoon. There is a disappointing lack of people performing barefoot this year, there is usually quite a few at Glastonbury, maybe it's the weather. The drummer from Warpaint is the only one I've seen so far.
