Does the Ancient Astronaut Theory Have ANY Validity?

There's a million and one theories that could be "plausible", and maybe it happened all possible ways simultaneously but it probably happened only one way and with all the stars out there in different galaxies that might have intelligent life....they would have to be billions of years ahead of us to have explored enough of the universe to have a chance to have made contact with us.

Of course there might be so many planets out there with intelligent life enough to get the probability above a fraction of 1%

 

I don't necessarily believe an advanced race of aliens to need to be billions or millions of years ahead of us to traverse the solar systems. Look how fast our own technology is progressing. We'll be building intergalactic space ships with 3D computers soon, we might be already.

Maybe only a thousand years progression is all is needed. Who knows. Who's to say another race of aliens didn't land on a distant planet and build the race of aliens already living on that planet into an extraordinary intelligent species?

The possibilities are limitless, it's fun.

 

We are nothing more then cattle, getting ready for the big roundup to feed the hungry alien souls.

 

The universe is way more than out solar system. Almost all of the other planets in the solar system have an environment that would be inhospitable to any life anything like us. But they could be so different than us that we just can't relate or they may not be interested in us cuz we're like fire ants on an ant hill in Africa somewhere ya know? Too insignificant to them for their concern.

If you had a radio scanner and you tuned it to the frequency that cell phone signals are carried over you would not hear any voices it would just sound like noise that's all! Because it's encrypted for one, and you must understand the way it is encoded to make sense of it. Many many calls are multiplexed using complicated methods (CDMA/TDMA etc...) to carry the calls of an entire city over a limited set of frequencies that the FCC allows to be used for that purpose. Same with satellite TV and everything else these days. Who says we would even be able to understand the communications of an alien species we might just misinterpret it as noise or a pulsar or something not to mention they won't speak our language. Encrypted traffic on the internet looks like a bunch of totally random characters (gibberish/noise) unless you have the key and know what hash algorithm was used to encrypt it

There are planets out there like Kepler-22b (sp?) that we think are earth like and could have life as well as other planets in the Kepler system. It's within the habitable zone from it's star which is sun like^_^

in theory a bumble bee should not be able to fly but yet thy do,the whole world would be 100 s of years more advanced if we had accesses to the things the governments of the world are keeping under raps, space travel is no where as expensive as we are told there are privet co. that have a space station in place ,in orbit around earth , most of the moneys go to black opps ,
we actually have plans now that can fly booming missions in middle east and return to return to bass in US, by using charged ions ,anti gravity tec. and have been working on man made worm holes, we are muck further out into space than we are led to believe,if you can control a worm hole you could jump great distances in a sec. the US had grants out for this in 1999,I believe it was Nave and DoD ,

i see nothing wrong with the possibility we may have been visited, observed, or are even being observed now.

but the idea that we couldn't have thought of anything on our own without someone from somewhere else having thought of it for us, that part is utter and absolute nonsense.

and yes, every amazing thing that has been done on this earth in the past IS perfectly capable of being done by NON-advanced physical means, that we ARE perfectly capable of having thought of, and 99.999% more likely to have done.

 

Very interesting thread here. The one thing I do not see mentioned here is religion. The Hindu religion is full of stories of flying gods, battles in the sky with weapons that mention damage inflicted much like nuclear weapons. Yeah, yeah, I know, they depict some of their gods as animals, but that may just be the way their ancients related to those particular gods, for example a powerful ruler depicted as a bull elephant.

And of course there are mentions in the Bible of a "wheel in the sky" and otherworldly craft.
Buddha even made mention of "world systems" and that our solar system (sun, nine planets and their moons) made up a unit referred to as a "world unit",
So there are 4 of the major religions on our planet Hindu, Islam, Buddhism and Christianity, that may not all speak of extraterrestrials visiting here, do speak of other worlds. Not to say they are right or wrong, just a point of view I did not see considered here.

From Jesus as a hybrid human species genetically modified and inseminated into Mary, to Satan, a shape-shifter, most likely a Reptilian race because they say he turned into a snake.
So many hidden things but ppl take it in the literal sense, but you really cant when a book is written from thousands of years ago.

 

Could also be you interpreted it in a sci-fi fantasy sense
