Been in oahu the last week so missed Jessica Mauboys spot in eurovision, so jjst then was the first time Id seen that and Conchita. First off Mauboy; australia intro was cheesy, surfboards and speedos, but Jessicas bit was great she looked amazing and girl can sing, love her As for Conchita, he's hot, has great eyes. The point isnt about trying to be female, about androgyny, hence the beard.

Welcome to the real world, uber-conservative. The rest of the world started accepting transsexuals and cross dressing individuals back in the 90s
The only people who want to be freaks are generally those who are not. He/She/It doesn't want to be that way but has embraced and accepted the madness. Hotwater
Meh, i heard about all the supposed homophobic backlash online from other sites before i saw the vid, just cos he had a beard. Truth is if he hadnt had a beard he would have looked to much like a girl, just another drag queen and wouldnt have got as much attention, maybe not won. I think everyone expects eurovision to be whack nowadays otherwise its just another idol competition. Besides the.REAL reason you think its disgusting is not cos of the sparkly dress
I don't have anything against homosexuals or transgendered people -- it's the agenda that is behind it. Some people do come from more conservative backgrounds and parts of the world where they have been a bit slow to swallow all the NWO propaganda dressed up as "tolerance" pertaining to accepting homosexuality. I am not going to be intolerant of someone just for having an unpopular opinion with regard to what is considered a politically correct viewpoint. If people find homosexuality disgusting, that is their opinion and they should be allowed to express it without fear of repercussions.
I think piaf is stating her opinion without fear of repercussions. I think its interesting to watch different generations and cultures become accustomed to things they once found disgusting. It usually happens by getting to know a "disgusting" person personally and recognizing them as human, not by having an nwo agenda pushed on them via the media. My older brother grew up in a generation not nearly as tolerant of gays as mine, he used to be extremely homophobic and now two of his best friends are a gay couple. People change. Its not always because of an agenda but because you learn to humanize people you once dehumanized.
My 1st thought was "WTF?!" Then I thought back to many times I've 'bucked the trend' and done things my way. So,good luck to her/him. Must have a fair old set of bollocks to do that in front of 126 million people.
That's really great for your brother and all, but my uber-conservative views are most likely not going to change. I don't care if he or she is gay, but really...decide already what gender you want to be. Grow a beard if you're a guy, wear a sparkly dress if you are, or aspire to be a woman.
