People should be allowed to say whatever the fuck they want, other than threatening and slanderous remarks. When you allow for the regulation of supposedly free speech, you set a dangerous precedent where eventually anything can be deemed off limits by the system. What exactly constitutes hate speech anyway, and who determines what is considered hate speech? Eventually having an unfavorable opinion about the government will be considered hate speech.

In Canada and I believe some other countries, you can be jailed simply for questioning the official version of the Holocaust, as was the case with Ernst Zundel. To me that is pretty fucking scary.

 

Especially if it pertains to speech which you don't personally agree with. I am sure every dictator would agree.

People should be able to say whatever the hell they want period! I don't care if its 'slander' or not, Free speech is 'free speech'. They try and pull the bullshit race cards and 'you cant say that', But last I checked there was not a list of 'free except these ones' section.

Im glad a group of words strike a blow harder than anything physical, That's when you know you are on the right track. People who sit and complain of said words, Are nothing but hypocrites who are doing the exact same thing using their 'free speech'.

So, If you don't fuck with them, They wont fuck with you! Kinda common sense that if you don't like what a group or person has to say, Walk away!

I have to disagree,words just like weapons can be used for good or evil ,It all depends on the user,book are full of radical Ideas should thy be band if some one disagrees,I often told people I was predigest that I hated stupid people but love lots ignorant people the defiance's being ignorant people just don't understand , which I am among in many areas ,but stupid never learns,
But thy have there right to be that way and say what thy say,no law can change that. and if the word is never said ,it dose nothing to change the mind,only the behavior of speech has changed ,if there going to be violent it just saves them time ,Hate laws are written for government by governments to stop designation , if you get to much notice thy can say hate crime,in violins cases it s not need the act is a crime in its self. the only area I can think of were words of hate should be considered a crime is in child abuse cases ,because of the damage thy do to the minds of the young .but on the other hand you do have a lot of post I do agree with so I defiantly don't place you in stupid category.who knows maybe you will change my mind on some thing,I hope IM never to old to learn for that is when stupid happens LOl ,have a great night

from what I've seen pc speech has merely taught hate groups to watch what they say in public, but does little to change their thoughts or actions. as one who fought the kkk in the south in the '60s and ended up with the kkk putting a price on my head. I would much rather have a bigot expose himself through speech than actions.

People have this misconception that freedom of speech means they can never get in trouble for stating what they do. Freedom of speech simply means that you do have the freedom to state whatever you want.

We have free speech, But slander is 'illegal'. That's nothing more than a double standard and splitting hairs.

Funny people keep bringing up the 'klan', Yes the numbers have dropped, That's because there is another organization of the same like that many business owners are members of and the media love them. They are in parades and everything, Just no bed sheets and pointed hats.
