That's not quite accurate...while some of the matter does indeed disappear, its energy can still be accounted for, usually in the form of photons (light particles). Not that there isn't some seriously spooky shit going on in particle accelerators. For example, consider this: every known fundamental particle has a radius of zero. Not a millionth or a billionth or even a trillionth of a centimeter, but actually legitimately zero. That means that in reality, everything is just empty space! "Solidness" is an illusion created by the electromagnetic force which binds atoms together.
ye it is an illusion, just a dream.these scientists are spending so much on this sort of research and yet meditation masters spend hardly anything and achieve the same results albeit using different wordsand have been doing for eons.funny old world!
I am fascinated by this as well, though don't really believe in it. But there could be ANYTHING on the other side of black holes or worm holes. I want to go into a worm hole when I am 85 just to see what happens. What if I went in and got born again into my same life and it started all over. I can't tell if that would suck. Probably not my life kicks ass. And since I wouldn't remember shit, it would kick ass all over again and again and again lol.
I find the parallel universe theory to be an attractive theory, however I personally don't believe in it. I get the theory, but i fail to see how a universe with parallel universes would perform any more efficiently than one without. I do believe that there are more than the 4 dimensions of space and time, but that has little to do with parallel universes other than they tend to be connected in their theories. The universe tends to do thinks as efficiently as possible, energy is not wasted. And how would parallel universes be made? And if the were made... Wouldnt an entire universe of energy need to be created? As we know. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. It simply changes form.
I think it's all BS, strings and multiple universes... dreamed up by pompous fund sucking professors and scientists with egotistical motives. You've got to take human nature into consideration with every publication, scientific or otherwise. We don't know enough about energy to say it can't be created or destroyed. That's human arrogance. I believe energy IS the propagation of balance. Matter is a natural occurring anomaly formed from complex energy wave interaction. There is really nothing more than space and energy. Multiple existences of similar worlds withing our universe do not make them separate universes.
I may be repeating something that has already been said but parallel universes are only a single strand on a much larger woven cloth, a cloth detailing the very fundamental truths of how our universe came to be and how it behaves. Parallel universes are the by product of a fairly recent but groundbreaking theory dubbed "string theory", this theory proposed an extra six dimensions to the already 3 + 1 of time dimensions that we are familiar with. However, the dimensions were later met by yet another higher dimension, totaling 11 dimensions. These dimensions are curled up cross-sections of space time that exist at smaller and smaller intervals. Within each, the behavior of the "string" (smallest and most fundamental state of matter) would change, thereby spewing out waves of particles that would take the shape of atoms and eventually matter in the macro world. Within the 11th dimension, however, the string takes a new shape. It morphs into a membrane of cosmic proportions within an 11 dimensional hyperspace, a multiverse that contains an infinite number of seperate universes, each budding and dying, collapsing or fading away. This is the multiverse in which our universe resides, but this is also where things get weird; our universe is essentially infinite (thereby making it a multiverse of "uni"verses) because the edges of our universe are expanding faster than light and since we can only travel up to the speed of light (exuding warp drives ) we can never leave our universe. To leave the universe would be to exit into a higher dimensional hyperspace that exists between expanding bubble multiverses (our universe is one part of a rapidly expanding bubble) each bubble multiverse is infinite when observed from the interior but finite when observed outside of it, outside you can see an infinite number of expanding bubbles, each is an entire multiverse bigger than anything our minds can wrap around. Many of the bubbles contain life, life like we can't imagine, all forms, all stages of evolution, endless stories left only for fiction writers. Our story, however, does not end here, the multiverse in which our bubble resides may be existing inside of a higher universe's black hole (again, infinite from the interior, finite from the exterior) because of whats called the "holographic principle". This theory, which has become an accepted part of particle physics and reality states that there is a 2d field or film that surrounds our entire universe/multiverse kind of like the film on a bubble. this film is the cosmic event horizon or "boundary", every single thing in our universe is projected along this 2d film in order to retain some sort of connection between the universe we were born from and the universe in which we live. This mainstream theory stems from study of black hole radiation or Hawking radiation. Hawking proposed that pairs of particles and anti-particles are constantly being created and then quickly annihilating each other out of whats called the quantum foam. Although, when pairs of particles are created near a black holes event horizon, one particle might fall into the dark while the other escapes. This process creates a steady flow of radiation around a black hole's event horizon. This then solves the problem of conservation of information. it was once thought that information was lost within a black hole but instead it is conserved in the form of hawking radiation (matter that falls into a black hole is radiated around the edge of the black hole while a holographic presentation of it is created inside, hence the "holographic principle", nothing actually exists..etc.) Within the black hole, a process takes place at high energies that turns gravity on its head making it anti-gravity and forcing matter within the singularity to be spewed out the other end in a "white hole" this process is most likely responsible for the creation of our universe. Everything is fractal, we are a seemingly spectacular spec yet most likely an insignificant one in an infinite regression of reality each different than the rest yet they ARE because of the rest. Thank you for enduring, -ZeD
do you think that an infinity of alternate (not simply parallel) universes exist between the electric and magnetic poles of every photon in our atmosphere...and that this photon is a part of a wave of em radiation that we call light that is a vibration from a higher dimension..and that our brains put off an electromagnetic pulse that can be intercepted by these universes?...
Things like this are simply not easy to explain with sincerity in 'laymans' terms.' Sure, a cheap approximation to the truth can be told without any mathematics or knowledge of basic physical laws, but, in order to truly be 'Wowed' by the concept of something like multiple universes, one really needs to know the whole story, with all of the mathematical rigor associated with it. So, I am not going to explain it since I would butcher the concept without using mathematics.
We, as humans, measure all things as a matter of acquiring knowedge. However, we can measure only to a certan point called "Planck Units." Distance, weight, speed, mass continue to fall deeper within the Planck Units beyond our ability to measure or witness in any way. It is at these Planck Units that time has no value. In quantum states time is not a factor. As energy amasses into particles and particles into larger and larger units of measure time begins to form in a linear direction. Momentum is correlated with time. In the course of events in history through time there is a process called a "history cone." A cone contains all possible events attributed to any given event. Everything outside the cone are outside existance for any event. Your life cone contains all possible outcomes for your life. A world cone contains all possible outcomes of world events. A universe cone contains all possible outcomes of the universe. However, since time is not yet a factor as these events are being formulated at their very beginnings, in the quantun state, the possible outcomes within the cone are as limitless as those outcomes no possible outside the cone. Like ripples through a pond radiating from a point of origin one after another each ripple following the next so are the accummulations of events originating to follow each possible path of existance from timeless energy gaining momentum to form a succession of universes each following the other each in a different time. Does that make any sense? Look up: Life Cones, Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Field Theory .......
there may be many around you ,you can not see, its like subliminal adds ,there spliced into film and come at you at one 1/16 of a sec, which is just en off time for you to think did I rely see that,i don't know but i want a hot dog an fries an coke. there could be others living among us at a higher frequents or vibration and we would never know, moving to fast for us to detect ,there may be many reality s across time ,time moves froward so if you went back in time would it still be there ,or dose that moment still exist,if so is it the same people around you and can you change now,or would you be building a new time line or parallel universe, and dose the present time line go on .there are some that say while working with government thy traveled back in time so tay may have created many different time lines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otAasl8tEJ4"]Time Traveler caught on tape - YouTube
these are strictly mathematical constructs, so you do not have to worry about having an evil twin on the other side of the event horizon.
I think we'll see when we die, soul transcends... mortal shell left to rot... & I believe its then we get the grand tour. My own personal Christian beliefs are intermingled with this basic premise. Its amazing how fucking huge all of the universe is & if on top of ALL that there are pockets of other realities and different planes and shit... well my brain is going to boil in my skull and run out of my eye sockets at how badass that is. I would give my left nut to catch a teensy glimpse of such things... & so drugs and wee slivers of insight... if trips aren't always just your brain checking out to its own little fucked up picture show. which they likely are

When people from around the world all come to similar conclusions it seems that those may be true. If everyone thought the earth was flat in there plane of existence maybe it was. Kind of like the story of Native Americans that could not perceive Spanish ships because it was to foreign to them. Perception is an interesting thing to think about. Maybe different perceptions are kind of like parallel universe in their own right?? Think of what it would be like to think through some one else's mind... Very interesting stuff...
i see nothing wrong with the possibility, though i lack the background in the physical sciences to discuss it in finer detail. although i frequently come across such discussions among people who seem to be even further from doing so then myself.
This thread kinda made me think a little, how I always felt like I had déjà vu since I was a child as if the event had already happend. Maybe I already experienced it on another plane, idk but makes me wonder just a little bit
So lets say there are parrallel universes and we can travel to them at will just like brian and stewie did in family guy, and they went to one where they were all made of clay, and another where family guy was done by disney.... Perhaps we could go to a parrallel universe where everything is anime! That would be cool! >=-P. Or we could go to a parrallel universe where I am cloud strife in midgar and theres materia and summoning materia, and im working for some environmental terrorist group called avalanche. Now that would also be very cool, plus I could probably bang Tifa lockheart and grope her amazing gigantic tits once I got over the death of that flower girl and went back to everyday living once the world was saved from the evil clutches of sepiroth(however you spell it) and the big meteor in the sky. So in other words... if we can travel on to parallel universes, what would we all use it for? What would be the point? Would we do it so that each and every one of us could escape our lives that we are not content with and find the parallel universe more suited to our dreams and desires? Or maybe the idea of parallel universes is nowhere near what ive described? My main question is... what are the limitations of parallel universes? Can a conscious being theoritically travel from one, to another, and then another at will once they find a way? Or is that just not even possible within the theoritical realm. And if it is theoritically possible what are the limitations and how could we use them to our advantage?
