I think it may have been call "Weird Science" or something. Those two highschool guys who 'created' a woman from their computer. And she was like a robot or something and the guys partied and stuff with her, and all kinds of crazy stuff. It was pretty cool from what I can remember of it. Oh and that Corey Haim movie "Liscense to Drive" That was a pretty cool movie. Another one I really liked was the movie "Cant Buy Me Love" where the lawnboy pays the most popular girl to go out with him, and they really fall in love. He went from sheek to geek.
yall should watch "Not Another Teen Comedy". it spoofs everything done in teen comedies from the 80s and 90s. hillarious!
I have to contribute this thread.. I love any John Cusack movie.. Say Anything, Better Off Dead.. I love Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Breakfast Club, Can;t Buy Me Love, Loverboy, License To Drive, Revenge of the Nerds, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Footloose, and there are so much more but for the life of me, can't recall much..
Yeah, but it doesn't truly capture the magic of those 80's movies. I think the fact that half of the movies are so relevant to the 80's is part of the appeal. The hairstyles, the crappy music, etc. "Not Another..." spoofs current movies like American Beauty, 10 Things I Hate About You, Bring It On, American Pie, etc rather than the beloved films from a couple decades ago. Here's another great one from the 80's. Police Academy. I'm referring to the FIRST one. #2 and 3 have moments, but it's all about the original, the one with the boob shots. #4 and beyond should just be forgotten. Regarding Summer School, if it weren't for Chainsaw and Dave, I would have hated that flick. They were the only redeeming qualities of that horrible piece of trash. But that's just my personal opinion.
Valley Girl is the movie that introduced me to Nicholas Cage... *sighing wistfully* He was so cute in that movie... Fast Times at Ridgemont High was one of my favorites. I was a surfer chick and I talked just like Sean Penn did. My sister called me "Spiccoli", because of the accent and the way I dressed... LOL Ferris Bueller's Day Off was great. It was nice to see someone else cutting school... But, my all-time favorite was The Breakfast Club. I still love that movie and watch it whenever I know it's on. LOL I enjoyed all the Molly Ringwald movies, too. I wonder whatever happend to her??? Ahhhh, the 80s... Those were some great times....
Nicholas Cage was cute in Valley Girl, but I don't know what he saw in that silly girl. I love the 80's though.
Risky Business is my favorite 80's teen sex comedy, and actually its one of my favorite teen sex comedies of all time.
that one with the vampires... you know the one. it was a terrible movie, but it had its classic 80's charm. That and death by stereo quoted it. Another bad 80's movie was weird science. WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING. anyways. Terrible
Quote:I enjoyed all the Molly Ringwald movies, too. I wonder whatever happend to her??? She moved away to Paris after making a few flops. She has come back and done some things on TV over the last few years.
My favorite 80's teen sex movie is The Last American Virgin It's basically Porky's meets Fast Times. Hard find, but i heard it was rereleased on dvd and should be in the 10 dollar bin. One of the things i loved about this movie was that it had an awesome awesome soundtrack. Old U2, Devo, The Cars, and even The Commodores. Look into it
Yeah, I found that movie hilarious as well. And Molly Ringwald makes a cameo. My fav 80s teen sex comedy has always been Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
I can relate, I am a child of the 80's:&. My favorites growing up were "Fast times at Ridgemont High", "Sixteen Candles" and "Breakfast Club", just to name a few.
its not a "comedy" persay but i still say its possibly the greatest movie of the 80s "The Lost Boys" classic
