did a leg workout today, then had a chat with the super hot desk lady. thinking bout pulling off some game lol. slowly but surely
More and more I am becoming an exercise minimalist, learning less is actually more. It's called body by science. I have been basically doing heavy lifting every 5-7 days, then every other day I do mostly just body weight exercises (pushups, chinups, squats, etc.), and about 300 kettlebell swings 1-2 times per week. Since being in deep ketosis I am finding I have more energy when it comes to my strength training, but my interval sessions have been absolutely grueling. I have actually cut my HIIT sessions back from 8 thirty second reps to 6 thirty second reps, usually two times per week.
Good post. When I learnt how I was overtraining.. it was a massive revelation to me. And the people giving me the worst so called advice were actually gyms who wanted people over training every day. In general terms I think the trick is concentration of hard work in short sessions. Things like nutrition, recovery/massage/mental focus etc are all pretty useful. I also think exercise should be fun, not a chore. And switching it round a bit over the year. Twitch muscles for a while, then power, then stamina etc.
Well I did not run the whole thing but I am currently training for the 5k in May and I am getting closer to my goal so bump for me maybe?
Did circuit training this evening. I felt a little more tired than normal. But I skipped my usual banana and bag of peanuts that I always eat at 4 pm every day. That was probably the reason, I bet. Less fuel, less performance.
Hey I noticed at least you got excellent legs for it So, what kind of bicycle did you got? Racing bike, mountain bike? City bike?
Do you have good suspension? My bike has front suspension. When I went downhill in Austria I had bike with front and rear suspension which was good for going down trails but I found it difficult to ride normally like that. Yep I would have looked like a spaz. >.>
