    Hi Guys,

I'm growing mushrooms and have got to the stage where the white mycelia had spread all over the grain, yet there was a mycelia free corner in the grain as if not touched at all.

Otherwise the bag was good for casing. But I gave the bag a proper massage and mix so the mycelia-free grain was in with the white stuff.

But the bag has gone from snow-white to is mainly brown all over with bits of mycelia on the individual grains. I guess there wasn't mycelia all the way through.

Is this OK? When should I start the casing? When its all snow-white again?

    Thanks.

Let the mycelia rest for a few days and it will go snow white again.

Mycellium is like fragile threads and breaks apart easily when you massage it.

The break apart again........ Pour into a tray and cover and let rest untilnit is snow white again.... The case and let rest until mycellium pokes through 50% of the casing layer.... Then start fanning and introducing light to cause fruiting
