The person who was actually leaving the boxes saw the cameras and stopped, is my guess.

 

It is so comforting to think that loved ones can contact us from another dimension....I am still looking fro more signs from my mom rather than just a 9 on my window which could have been made by one of my cat's drool.....I need concrete evidence here!

If I was a ghost and could move things, I wouldn't go to all that trouble. I just pic up a pad and pen and write out a note.

 

Are you still finding boxes of Chiclets?

 

Please give us some real evidence, anecdotes don't count. All these claims from different people of varying degrees over the years, and no hardcore evidence.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, with all due respect.

Not to sound arrogant/snobby btw... For all I know there could be another dimension where all living beings go but we can't see it. and FYI I also kinda experienced the third eye on LSD during ego-loss.... though I'm willing to dismiss as the effects of the drug, not conclusive proof of anything there.

The OP's father would likely have known about his dad giving the gum to his son. My guess is, dad was just trying to have a little harmless fun with his son. Leave some chiclets around the house.

And btw, my grandparents used to always give me little boxes of chiclets too. They are both deceased, but I have never received any boxes of them from them since their passing.

i think the first thing anyone needs to ask themselves about "being contacted" is why anyone would.

now granted everyone who has been contacted to start a religion has been a thoroughly random lot. but that's something that only happens once every thousand years or so, thus i'm sure that's not what we're talking about here.

which pretty much leaves 'psychic pen pals', which is cool. i think i know and have several friends in a number of parallel universes myself. though i'm not that much of a social person.

just people i have a passing acquaintance with, because they live somewhere that i frequently show up in my dreams, or have some similar interests who go to or teach at one of the colleges there.

Ash, yeah this is definitely a string of interesting events. I'd like to know too. I can see what an earlier poster was saying, how people 'can' do things subconsciously to themselves under certain stress levels and such, but you would have to have little boxes of chiclets for which to secretly plant in your own clothing to surprise yourself LOL. And to go to the store and buy yourself little boxes of chiclets... and not remember doing something like that?? That's forgetting a nice sized chunk of time... or perhaps forgetting a few minutes of the day? Say you're at Family Dollar or Deals, etc and you subconsciously decide to pick up a box of chiclets at the last minute while you're checking out. You would also have to ask or be asked if you want that item in the bag or just put it in your pocket. Perhaps you steal the small box of chiclets, but I believe Chiclets come in small boxes within a larger box. SO! You would have to steal it, then proceed to open it, place one of the small boxes in a pocket and discard the rest??

Moral of explanation!!!

Very strange too, that his girlfriends grandfather did the same thing. Perhaps that aspect (of them meeting) is divine intervention. Or it WAS her and she was playing some sort of game. But, being in a relationship, that seems like a pretty twisted joke if you ask me.

hah! I wouldn't! Not until I found out where they were coming from. If I came to the conclusion they 'were' being left by some unnatural force, I would definitely keep them as a momento.
