I built a model of the Brooklyn bridge when I was a little kid with Popsicle sticks and string and it actually could hold way more weight than you would think so that might actually be possible but I'd only really feel safe with a lanyard like this



They didn't use fall protection back in 1929 when they built the Empire State building and they finished that whole building in under a year I think too! That's crazy...I wonder how many construction workers died...they just walked across and sat on those beams while they bolted and riveted it together!
