Yeah the bot shit I do worry about a little...and I'm fairly ignorant of malware.

I would go for Linux, but there isn't any good A/V software for it that I'm aware of. Plus I've burned a lotta brain cells learning the software I've got now, I shudder at the idea of having to start over on something new.

You seem much more hep to this shit than I, I suppose I should give it some more consideration. Thanks mang :)

Hopefully they keep supporting vista until my laptop dies, because I don't think it can handle anything more powerful, lol.

^^^ With those specs you haven't seen "fast"... :p

Anyways, besides Norton being a POS, you are dealing with pirated copies of Windows? Good luck with that.

No, you have to create the partitions first, otherwise what are you going to format?

You could format each partition to delete everything but you would still have each partition.

It's faster to just reformat the partition, it's much better to delete the partition and create new, especially if you suspect virus activity.

No, the windows was on the hard drive I pulled from my old gateway when I built a new system, and wouldn't activate with the new hardware anyways.

Thanks for the heads up tho on the bot thing, I really didn't think about that but it would be a convenient way to build a nice botnet
