There are 4 of us - includes our daughter & son. We all keep our doors open at night - always have & don't really know why.
me and ma old lady. 2 boys age 8-15 (2 is enough lol) 1 dog, a fish 1 cat inside and 2 out (but they come in overnight and when it,s cold)
Um.... 3.5 people and 1 cat (the cat comes into play for the last question)-- myself, my husband, the baby that is yet to be born being the half person....and no, never shut bedroom door for one there is no reason...for two, in case my three year old needs to come in and for three, that's where the cats food is so she needs to be able to come in and out.
3 humans, 3 cats, two dogs. not my house. i'm the old fart who rents the room in the corner where he plays with trains and computers, sleeps, and generally does as much as he can not requiring the use of the rest of the house. we do share a kitchen, and in some ways form a single household. we also share an interest in a phenominon known as furry. however, my interest in it, turns out to be of a somewhat different nature then even that of my housemates. for all of us, it is an interest and a hobby, but the other two are fur suiters, who's interest is for entertainment and parties. i on the other paw, see it as being about spirituality and nature. i believe we are all interested in creative expression to some degree, but the other two seem to be more interested in socializing and sports. typical human extroversion sorts of things it seems to me. were as for me, it is simply one of my many interests and hobbies, which also include model railroading and building 3d models inside the computer. i like furrys because to me they look better then humans. and to me, they are about a world of not destroying the environment that forms their habitat. but as happened with the devolution of what the media labled hippies, some people mostly just want to par tay. oh well. to each their own. the world has room for designers and organizers both, even when we're very much not the same.
doors? i missed that part about doors. i leave my room door open when i'm not there, so the cats can get in and out if they want to, and anyone else can if they feel like they really have to. i close mine when i'm home and one or more of the others are at the same time. this is so they can enjoy their entertainment without it preventing me from thinking my own thoughts. the outside doors of the house are always closed to keep the cats from getting out and wandering off, out into traffic. if it were MY house, there would be a garden with trains in it, instead of a wasteland for the dogs to tear up. and solar electric on the roof, if i had the kind of disposible income my housemates seem to prefer to spent on entertaining. also the fence would be made cat-proof, so the cats could be allowed out into the garden to enjoy it the way all natural creatures ought to be. of course it the world were REALLY up to me, i wouldn't have to live in nearly as densely populated an area to have access to public transportation.
