Yogi, based on your first statement, you sound like trouble waiting to happen. It is people like you that make anti-2nd amendment people think that gun owners are kill crazy. RubySoho6, you really know your stuff. Way to go, girl. - JKHolman
I love to shoot guns, but like I said before, there is no way I could carry or own one..I have to bridle my self control even without a gun..so I dont need it cause I dont even trust myself, that is why I do not own..
Its obvious you didn't read the other posts. I have had mine for year(s), Before hand I carried as well, Just not as 'legal'. In all of that time, By the bullshit you posted, I wouldn't be posting, Would I? Id be in jail or prison, Not typing a reply to a stupid response. If I wanted to 'kill' someone, Im pretty sure I would have done it by now, Don't ya think? Or am I 'just waiting for the right one'? LMFAO, Its people like you who bring out the 'jump to conclusions' mat about how people who carry are 'kill crazy'. If I were you, Start by pulling head out of ass, If its 'trouble waiting to happen', Its been along time waiting and don't see any changes anytime soon.
Fun facts: My state has the second highest guns per capita.... :cowboy: also 2nd highest suicide rate.
haha..your welcome. I know guns all to well..they are not toys and should be handled carefully by trained people..
I carry sometimes, just depends. Usually have a gun in my truck at least during working hours. And where I live there is no law against being drunk and carrying a gun. But you better make damn sure if you use that weapon it is 5,000% justified or you are fucked. You will lose all benefit of the doubt. I'd also interpret the part of the statute that says 'anywhere you have a legal right to be' as if you were driving or walking around drunk then an overzealous DA could drop some charges. It'd have to be like.. you're a passenger in a car that's getting jacked. They also just made it legal here to brandish in order to stop a threat or attack. I love our gun laws but there are definitely loads of people carrying who shouldn't be. But that is the case regardless of the existence of progressive carry laws. There are just a lot of people who think a permit is some kind of progressive defense or immunity.. it's not. Even if you are stopping a murder or armed robbery, and your bullet goes through the assailant and hits a bystander you are going up for manslaughter. It's a huge responsibility to carry a firearm at any point in time.
Insanity...Missouri? More insane gun laws http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/09/map-gun-laws-2009-2012 Bullets and booze: In Missouri, law-abiding citizens can carry a gun while intoxicated and even fire it if "acting in self-defense." Child-safety lock off: In Kansas, permit holders can carry concealed weapons inside K-12 schools and at school-sponsored activities. Short arm of the law: In Utah, a person under felony indictment can buy a gun, and a person charged with a violent crime may be able to retain a concealed weapon permit. Nebraskans who've pled guilty to a violent crime can get a permit to carry a gun. Sweet Jesus! In Louisiana, permit holders can carry concealed weapons inside houses of worship. Without a trace: Virginia not only repealed a law requiring handgun vendors to submit sales records, but the state also ordered the destruction of all such previous records.
Florida. Here you can get a permit if you've had less than 4 violent crimes in a certain number of years. The only disqualifications are domestic violence convictions or felonies. You can carry in churches, banks. The only places you can't are schools, courthouses or anywhere a legislative body is assembling, and bars. But you can carry in a restaurant as long as you aren't sitting at the bar. Can't even walk through the bar area if that is the only way to the bathroom. Oh, and gun dealers have to destroy records within 2 weeks. Keeping records is equivalent to a database of gun owners and is unconstitutional.
I want to say it is also legal in Utah to carry a weapon inside a school. That's what we were told in our gun class. In Iowa you can also carry inside a church, bank or a bar. You can carry your weapon until your blood alcohol level hits .08. Once you hit that level your permit is no longer valid and you are committing a crime by carrying it. Just like driving. In Iowa you can't carry in any federal building, schools, courts, jails, any corp of engineers property, casinos, city or county buildings with signs (some of them don't have signs). Speaking of signs, you don't have to honor a private business that has a no gun sign. There was a big deal made a while ago about Home Depot (I think) putting up signs saying No Guns Allowed. In Iowa you can still carry in those places. It's not against the law unless its in one of the restricted places listed above. In some states those signs can carry force of law but not here. It's merely a suggestion. All they can do is ask you to leave. If you don't leave they can call the cops. The cops can ask you to leave and if you don't all you get is a trespassing violation. Not a gun violation.

Yogi.. Dunning Kruger effect. Not putting that down on you, never met you, but I'd be aware of it.. the tone of your posts is a little unnerving
LMFAO, Couldn't be further from the truth. To each their own, I have yet to have a problem with the way I go about things.
this just makes me uneasy as fuck. Americans and people have proved they are egotistical big-headed idiots. It's just way too easy for us to get guns. And a Permit to Carry on top.
