Is traditional marriage becoming obsolete?

haha I didn't read this correctly until I pieced it together from context clues in the next half of the sentence

 

^Cetainly not behavior that occurs in traditional marriages.

 

There's a term for guys who get married and have kids as a cover for their lifestyle. I forget what it's called but I have a few gay friends and have heard them laughing about that.

But I'm not talking about gay guys. Straight guys who are just fucking pussies, and not men. It's an epidemic.

 

It's called a beard, if I'm not mistaken and also, I read that the same way as melial.

The couples that SEEM traditional are generally the ones that are into swinging/polyamory. The man could work while the woman stays home to take care of the house, the kids, and make the goddamn sammiches, yet they could have another lifestyle outside of that. The general public their families, and even some of their closest friends could be none the wiser.

Traditional marriage may become obsolete for people who are into free love, but not to all the millions of people that are not into it of course. So no, it may become obsolete for most people that post in this subsection of the forums but not in the general sense.

Our arrangement is along these lines. My husband and I both have responsible jobs. We have a 5 year old daughter to whom we're totally committed. We're active in our church and in the community. Our weekends often involve my family or his.

Every 2-3 months we arrange a destination getaway with one of a few couples. We have safe sex practices, understandings in advance of what's allowed. Once together, it's a total adult weekend! We check in regularly with our daughter despite being away in a non-traditional setting.

Does that qualify?

 

This is exactly what I'm referring to. The swinger lifestyle has such a bad rep. It's seen as dirty and immoral. The average population fails to realize that most swingers are responsible adults, men and women with successful careers, and loving parents.

We certainly do whatever we can to keep this discrete. My husband and I love each other very much, but this is just a little something we do to add spice to our relationship. We talk to each other constantly to reassure we're both okay with what we're doing. Unfortunately, many people would decide this makes us unfit parents, quit being our friends, choose not to do business with us, and alienate us from social activities. I don't think that's right, but I can't change the world.

 

Is this what "communes" were in the 60's? I've heard some about them, but don't really know how they worked.

 

My wife and I love to ride harley's. We love our kids very much, all college graduates and living good live with there own familys.
