I think you need a new one, they are too small for a tatoo comp

^^^ The last one with the skull and rainbow are super cute.

I can't decide if you're being condescending self or not. Even if you had read every single one of my thousands of posts, you would know the sugar skull says a million times more about me than a kiss on the shoulder.

Then again, you've never taken the time to get to know me, so you know nothing about my character.

    Nice art.
While the butterfly one is awesome because of the sentimental significance associated with it, the sugar skull is definitely the better of the two technically speaking.
The line work is much cleaner and the color has better saturation and shading.

I like the lips also, very nice feminine touch without being overbearing. ;)

I absolutely agree, if I can make it to the contest, that's the one I'm going to enter.

Thanks :D. I always get a lot of compliments on it when I wear a top that shows my shoulders.

I have an old friend who asked his gf to kiss a piece of paper, so he could take it to the shop and have it tattooed on his neck. She thought it was a sweet idea so she did it. Little did she know...He never had any intension of placing it on his neck. Her lips will always be kissing his ass.

Do your lips belong to a person?

And sugar skull ftw. Unless originality is a category because although yours is beautiful, I've seen many sugar skulls. The butterfly is more unique.

Lol, that story is hilarious. No, they don't belong to anyone. I literally was bored one day, so I walked into a random tattoo shop, and said, "tattoo a kiss on my shoulder."

Sugar skulls are very common. Although I think even though the idea is common, I think the execution (color and flower choices, etc) are pretty creative.
I agree. I also think the size of it allows for more noticeable detail than most tattoos.
    Lol, thanks Piaf.

Ah, I lol'ed when I read this. That rarely happens, good for you. :2thumbsup:

Piaf, you don't strike me as a tattoo kind of girl. More of an Audrey Hepburn type.

I think the sugar skull has the best chance of winning, honestly. I appreciate the butterfly more.

While I would never tarnish my perfect skin with a tattoo; I’d go with the 5 pointed star (or Wiccan symbol) [IMG]

so if you win, do you get the prize or does the artist? i'd be pissed if i drew a prize-winning picture and the random person who paid me to draw it got a free trip because of it when i got nothing.

The nautical? I don't think that's near creative enough for a competition.
Well, then don't become a tattoo artist if that pisses you off.

The artist receives recognition and an award. They are also free to enter their own tattoos as well.

I know little of tattoos or how they are judged so I wouldn't of help in deciding which one to enter, but I do wish you good luck.

I think you can see tattoos in the same way you see any other art. You think of how it appeals to you, then you think of the medium and based on those you decide how much value one has over another.

I've never had a tattoo and don't think I ever will, but to me it is just art...like any other type of art.

I didn't think of it that way. That makes sense. I was thinking of judges scoring on different things.

Well you just think of how difficult it might be with ink selection and the tattoo gun and that's about it...I'd guess.

    Nautical; that’s disappointing :(

I was hoping you had some kind of funky Wiccan thing going on a la the Witches of Eastwick or maybe the charmed ones :2thumbsup:
