I just watched this today for the first time (a few years late) but I thoroughly was impressed. I wondered what everyone's thoughts were on it that have seen it. I love the tug of war between victim and predator and the change of roles throughout the film. Anyone here see it or like it?

Spoilers. I saw most of it. Unless he subconsciously wanted to die, I just don't understand why he didn't overpower and strangle her on the roof. That's what I would have done, then hidden her somewhere where I could return at intervals to have sexual intercourse with her cadaver, like Ted Bundy.

This movie was intense. I really like the plot and the girl (I think its the same actress from Juno) was amazing.

I thought it was crap. If I was into 15 year olds I may have gotten a boner.

I think you may have misinterpreted the film a bit.
Or maybe you are just trying to cover something up ;)

I liked it but there is just NO way a 15 year old could hoist an unconscious adult man, and string him up in a noose.
    Just not physically possible....

    Still, good. :)

    Lol.

I don't get why the little brat didn't just kill the guy if that's what she had planned for him. Instead of pretending to torture him and stuff. I felt sorry for the guy, if some slut came into my house and did that.....

I ended up accidentally watching this movie with my friend who was home alone and was scared. I suggested Netflix on Demand and we picked something that was described as an "empowering girl's story." We said "Hells yes, that's for us!"

Surprise! Ellen Page pretends to castrate a child predator!

Still, I think it's a great movie. I liked the choppy, almost documentary style of filming. And Page's no-nonsense angle is terrifying and spectacular all in one! It's vigilantism, so sure, I can see why "some people" might get indignant about some chick coming into your house and beating the crap out of you...but hey, we all love Batman, don't we?

I say, "Bravo!" She took the politically unpopular but secretly socially advocated action.
