*GASP* You like roller derby?? We just had bouts with the Mile High Derby Dames, and the Castle Rock n Rollers last month . I'm actually headed to Denver the first weekend of November for a getaway, and to go to a party. Have you heard of Mother Earth Sound Systems? They throw a lot of adult, underground electronic music parties.

 

Mammals always have the strongest majority in cute animal collection threads. I wonder why that is.

 

:2thumbsup:When I was a teen I was part of the punk croud. I had my hair every color you can imagine. Friday an sat nitghs we would go to shows. We would go to the derby's to watch our friend Kim Worack. I noticed it seam to become more pouplar after MTV had a show on the Roller Derby. I have not heard of Mother Earht Systems. I kinda lost touch with all the derby stuff after I moved to Fruita Colorado. Small town were everybody knows everythin about everybody. But anyway, yes I do like roller derby. It was one of the great things about living in Denver. What team are you with ? Oh, an ill always be a fan of the Denver Roller Dolls !

 

Haha, I had a punk phase. I used to go to shows at the Rock Underground over of Wazee . I'm with the A'salt Creek Roller Girls in Casper, Wy.

 

I went an looked you guy's up. There is a lot about you guy's on the web. how long as A'salt Creek Roller Girls been around ? Don't tihnk I ever heard anytihng about you back in the day. I would say I started going around 96-97 till about 2001-2002 or so than off an on threw out the years. Theres a youtube video about you guys. Not for very long. We're actually just now becoming a WFTDA registered team. Roller Derby hasn't been very big in Wyoming until recently. I actually just joined a couple months ago, so I'm still fresh meat . I only do scrimmage and what not. I haven't heard of her, but we do bout with Colorado teams really often . It would be awesome to bout against her though! Does she still play?

 

Im not sure if sge still plays or not. See, we don't gave roller derby or anyting fun on tge western slope. We gave 1 stop ligt in our town and a small City Market. But it's a good place to raise my daugters. But tats cool. Is there a certen position your better at an like the best ? It's cool talking to you. havent really talked about the derby an stuff like that up ere. Theres times I miss the big city life.

 

There's a derby team in Grand Junciton! They're pretty good, too. A lot of those little towns out there are like that. I hear ya about missing the city life. I prefer it out here in Wyoming, but there are times I miss the few years I lived in Denver. I wouldn't be happy there long term though. I'm definitely not a city girl.

 

Yea, when I was younger the city was the place to be so much fun and so many ways to get in trouble. But being 34 with 2 girls Fruita is a good place to be. I like the tought of them being raised in a smaller town.

 

^^^ that would be our logo! Yeah, I hear ya about raising kids and having to settle down. I still go to the city to get crazy once every few months. I may be a mom, but I still have a hell of a lot of mischief left in me lol
