Dogs Align Themselves With The Earth's Magnetic Field When Pooping

Maybe he's concerned about you peeing in his drinking water...

 

My dog isn't tall enough to drink out of the toilet...thank goodness.

 

I would be sure to say my dog shits in all directions it feels like but of course I never payed that much conscious thought to it. I'll now stalk him and peep from the bushes to find out the truth (but seriously I'll pay attention to it next couple of times!)

 

Grace usually looks off into the distance like she wishes I would go away. I am usually watching since I have to pick up the poo and need to know where she put it. Maybe I need to study where I stand so she can be on the correct axis.

 

Jesse will look at me with a humiliated look on his face as if he's saying "Please just look away. This is uncomfortable for both of us"
He also hates when I dress him up. This is his "Take the fuckin picture so I can shake this outfit off" look. He "speaks" to me with facial expressions.

 

I don't think Grace would let me put clothes on her. This morning however her legs froze up on her when we went to the park. She even lay down in the snow. It was so cold we had to run back to the warm car.

 

Ha Ha, the humiliation on that poor pups face!

 

hahaha, I know, right? He hates it. I really don't dress him up often. Maybe once every few years. Here he is at Halloween a few years ago. He was Elvis. He got his name because my husband wouldn't let me name him Elvis so I named him Jesse which was Elvis' twin brother that died at birth.

 

OMG. I took Grace to the park and she shit facing North. She must have read the article while I was napping earlier.

 

Yesterday Henry faced Northwest, Jassmyn faced North east..Still think they are more interested in the right spot rather than direction.

I watched Jesse tonight from the upstairs window so I could see how his body was positioned. (Actually I was upstairs when my husband let him out so I looked out the window) He started his poop facing due East. Circled around and stopped facing south. Moved around a little more before he finally finished facing west. Every direction but North. You would think for as long as it takes him to find the "perfect spot" that he would at least line himself up correctly with the magnetic field. Damn dog!

 

It must have been too early this morning...Grace did her lets walk in a circle routine dropping some to the east and west before facing north.

 

It cracks me up that this is something that we 1) Pay attention to 2) post in an internet forum about. Haha

Went on a walk with all three dogs and none of them cared which way they were facing. Southeast. East and the other was West.
