As stupid as our policies are I don't see much change in the near future. I think all of our drug policies need to be seriously Reconcidered. We send people to prison when we can't even keep drugs out of the prisons. The truth is that people are going to use drugs & Just like alcohol it will become a problem in some peoples lives. Alcohol causes a hugh problem in our society, yet we found it caused even more problems with prohibition. But we keep doing the same thing. What have we solvled ?? We spend billions for these results ?? There isn't even a conversation on the Federal level.
Our government is paranoid and conservative, and so is most of society, so I agree that I don't so much major change either. People forget alcohol is a drug. Instead of providing non biased information for harm reduction, we turn our heads and stereotype all drug users (there are some bad nuts and idiots out there) and worst of all force children to swallow biased propaganda instead of telling them the truth, being informed, and hoping that as adults their kids could responsibly alter their consciousness in other ways than alcohol. The war on drugs just perpetuates the illegal drug problem and allows for more crime, less quality control, and a more confused, misinformed population. It's really sad. I don't think it will change, well any time soon. Sent from my IdeaTabA2109A using Tapatalk 4
