Is it just me or is it troll season?

I always thought it was the trolls that made this site what it is...ever been to a forum where the same 10-20 people are the ONLY posters?..becomes a drag really quick

The thread titles crack me up sometimes. I'll be scrolling....something about music....something about this...something about that....oh hey! Do you like to swallow your own cum? What?

But when I first joined I thought that every thread basically stayed in it's own subforum. I didn't know right away that the main board existed....or I probably wouldn't have started some of the dumb threads I started.

 

So what is your definition of a "troll?"
Someone who posts too many times, gets off subject, uses graphic language in a family-style thread. All of the above?
About ten years ago a "troll" was someone who attacked a post in a thread, using abusive language.

As in, say, a hunter cursing someone's earnest gun control thread. Or maybe I'm wrong.
On bird forums, the trolls were often people who abusively attacked those who advocated keeping cats indoors.

 

I'm thinking people who are here to provoke or spam or attack. People who are basically pretending to be normal curious posters but they have other motives.

That thread was one of the first ones that I ever saw on HF. And I didn't even run in the opposite direction. I must be a little twisted.
