Click here to find out more about where to get them. And bitcoin reached yet another all-time high today. Also pre-ordered KnCMiner's 2nd generation. It will hash at a minimum of 3 TH/s and is expected to be delivered around april. The mining rig costs $10,000, but I just paid in BTC I previously mined. Only cost me 12 fucking bitcoins for a $10k miner. I still can't believe BTC's current value....
damn, bird, you are big-time in bitcoin. i was pumped yesterday when the value of my 1.1 bitcoin shot above a thousand bucks! thinking about cashing half of it out maybe
We just passed the $1000 per bitcoin! I'd hold on if I were you, $1000 is surely not the ceiling. Unless ofcourse you need the money, then it's probably wise to cash out into that outdated currency that is dollar (or Euro or whatever). The value of 1 mBTC is now $1. Guess it's a good time to make the transition to mBTC now.
thanks fer the 10 bucks i need when you got 10,000 worth. whoops ya didnt sell me none.(jokin) no really good job getting that miner. i still need 10 though
i think its time for me to delve into litecoins as well as the bitcoins I already have.. btc-e, prepare to go head to head with my coinbase acct.
you need 10 dollars worth of bitcoin? for what? go to some of the free bitcoin sites and start clickin... (bitvisitor) and play some free poker you can probably win 10 bucks in a day
i been tryin all the free sites, bitvistor is about 8 cents a day but i,m takin it. i tried the freeroll kate poker they only pay the first 3 places best i did was 22.
I don't trust them. They are the same as air. How do you know they exist, nothing backs them, they can disappear tomorrow, they've been hacked and stolen quite a bit. Becareful
Bitcoin's success has revealed three weaknesses. It is not as secure and anonymous as it seems; the "mining" system that both increases the Bitcoin supply and ensures the integrity of the currency has led to an unsustainable computational arms-race; and the distributed-ledger system is becoming unwieldy http://econ.st/18qAGLf The Economist
1. Bitcoin is not anonymous. And it is as secure as you want it to be. Store your coins in an offline wallet or paper wallet and nobody can touch them. 2. The mining arms race is not unsustainable, the protocol can easily handle this. The only danger is that someone gets more than 50% of the total mining power, because then they can create a different fork and coins can be double spend. This is very hard to do. 3. The blockchain is nearing 1 MB block sizes. This also may be a problem, but it is being worked on. It may be increased to 2 MB, or 16 MB or whatever.
how do you store them offline or in a paper wallet? i'm sure that makes it much more difficult to transfer or receive funds? you'd prob have to move back to an online wallet right?
Just use electrum. The only reason you would need to use an online wallet would be for that specific site to place an order, and you should only transfer enough to pay for said order.. also, electrum makes managing your change addresses easier.
ugh, i've been getting my ass handed to me in btc poker. lost over 50 bucks worth on ONE hand last night. guy was going all in a lot, with not much...so i called with pocket kings, he had 8s and flopped another 8 then just now i lost all in with king high flush. he had the only fucking card that coulda beat me...the ace! i feel like caving something's skull in. i get a little too emotional...
http://electrum.org/ you just install it and keep your passphrase safe written down on a paper. Then you can just transfer BTC to and from your addresses. its pretty easy and supposed to be safer than keeping your coins on remote servers on a website. I lost twenty dollars. Then I lost another twenty dollars. I'm just not gonna fucking play anymore.
i found a good one... this shitty radio station pays ya 85ubtc every 30 minutes of phone time. after 30 min. music stops then punch in your address on the phone it stays on the line til ya do it. so ya don,t have to sit next to it and wait. thats better than bitvisitor at 60ubtc. if ya wanna try here,s the number ,works with house phones too. 1-646-663-7828 then the pin number is 80-88-90
