And.. the problem with nationalization will not be unproductive working class and businesses. The problem might be crime, but that wouldn't interest you.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, to prevent everyone’s premiums from skyrocketing, the government needs 7 million people to be actively enrolled in the exchanges in 2014 alone. 13 million by 2015, and 22 million by 2016.

I don't understand that. Let them skyrocket and then they can pay the premiums back by bonds from the bank.

The Congress made the issue of delaying the ACA the centerpiece of the government shutdown. It's approval rating dropped to 8% because of it. The job approval of Congress has been around 10% to 15% the past 2 years and under 30% for the past 4 years as a result of its general dysfunctional behavior. Obama has had an approval rating of 45% over those years.

Those who wish to abolish ACA need to become the majority party, and that's going to be difficult in the next elections after the shutdown that they caused (remember Gingrich in the 90's). It would have been better if they had exercised some discipline over their emotions and avoided a shutdown and the game of chicken with the debt ceiling deadline.

The Congress passed a bill in July 2013 to delay both the personal and business mandate by one year. Obama responded by delaying the business mandate but not the personal mandate.

The republicans in the Senate are the minority party. They can't expect to get everything. They did get a one year delay on the business mandate, and the government shutdown and game of chicken with the debt ceiling were avoidable.

Wonder why the Congress doesn't start such a big fuss with a government shutdown and game of chicken over a debt deadline before it starts up another war in the Mideast that costs $1.5 trillion.

Polls provide results which can be interpreted in many ways. Another poll which asked the following questions "1 - Were Congressional Republicans right to force a government shutdown in order to defund Obamacare?", "2 - Do you support a one-year delay for the 'individual mandate' in Obamacare?", and "3 - Who do you hold most responsible for the federal government shutdown?" which deal more directly with the 'shutdown' AND 'Obamacare', produced the following results.
    1 - Yes, I support the government shutdown 77%
1 - No, keep the government running, even if it means Obamacare is funded 22%
2 - Yes, delay it for one year 23%
2 - No, implement the full law now 18%
2 - Obamacare and all its provisions should be repealed 58%
    3 - President Barack Obama 70%
    3 - Congressional Republicans 19%
    3 - Congressional Democrats 9%

How about a nationwide referendum on Obamacare? Those who promote spreading democracy don't appear so wiling to implement it except for the purposes of elections, which the outcomes of are NOT the result of any single issue.

I'm unaware of Congress attempting to start another war in the Mideast, or of Congress initiating or even declaring a war since WWII.

I thought Obama ran on bringing our troops home? Why are they still there? Why do we need troops and bases in Europe, Asia and all over the world today?

Like I said, there was no compromise with the Republicans, it was necessity.

The CBO shows the need of 7 million people being enrolled in Obamacare in FY2014, 1 million being unsubsidized, and the remaining 5 million being subsidized by government (the working taxpayers), resulting in an average subsidy of $5,290 per subsidized enrolee. If that is not achieved the CBO claims the premiums for everyone else will have to be raised greatly.

You haven't stated the source of that poll. What is it? It sounds like a poll someone didn't on the web that wasn't scientifically conducted.

An article about a scientifically conducted poll. The public views the Congress very negatively on its handling of the recent budget impasse. The White House isn't good either but not nearly as bad as Congress.

The U.S. has obviously engaged in numerous war activities since WWII even if undeclared by Congress. Congress has provided money for all of them without a government shutdown over how to pay for them. It is bizarre that there is much ease in funding such conflicts whereas the topic of healthcare causes a shutdown and a game of chicken with the debt limit.

We can spin it as a compromise or a necessity. The Congress got half of what it wanted regarding the mandates.

Also, some of the members of Congress are now upset with Obama because he compromised on the ACA mandates but he didn't formally defer to Congress to get permission to compromise with Congress. [IMG]

Such is the theatrical behavior of politicians.

Yes, it was an online poll conducted by Newsmax, but realclearpolitics.com did a poll on the 'Public Approval of Health Care Law' which resulted in For/Favor 41.0%, Against/Oppose 48.7%. That issue out of the way, what poll questions have been asked relating to the budget impasse? I believe everyone would like to see a budget passed, but with more or less deficit spending and debt growth?

War spending and healthcare spending are quite different. War spending eventually ends, where healthcare spending will grow perpetually, and already social programs combined are the greatest budget expense. Do you actually support a continually increasing government debt? What purpose is there to having a debt ceiling if it is simply increased each time it is reached?

And the science of Nature would nevertheless thus be divergent from clear ethics for Nature by by the broad national interests. Is that to be the normal state of affaires for a moral and productive economy? Why for many years (since the Lillehammer olympicsI'd say) has the U.S. been so arrogant (not despairing for this record) about it's judgments on Nature and sense of culture of loving family ideals. So people in the U.S, believe in living forever, I say to you Mr Biden, and that would literally mean physically.

No... I think that that the U.S. should apply it's balanced life style to mystical failures and, let us say, the rights to fail. No one has a right to fail in the balanced budget, but the right to fail comes in Trust of your loving partner.:(
