Again? Obama has spent more than Bush in his first term alone. Again, Obama is Bush on steroids. Idk where people come off defending him. Do you pay attention at all to what he's doing?
Well, I think you're the definition of a complacent conformist. You can "think" in one hand, and shit in the other, and see which fills up faster. And if I say something you don't want to hear, doesn't make it spam. Spam is advertisments, not opinions. I think you're a fine example of someone who doesn't question government, and mocks others for questioning them. Government throughout history has committed genocide, lied to the people and, stole our property. A revolution is brewing, whether short-sighted closed-minded people like it or not; It is the equal and opposite reaction to the oppression the government has used to keep us down for so long. The biggest Conspiracy theory is thinking CCTV, domestic spying, drones, FEMA camps and, nullifying the Constitution is "keeping us safe."
StpLSD25 'Usenet convention defines spamming as excessive multiple posting, that is, the repeated posting of a message (or substantially similar messages).' Ok, perhaps not spam. I just read it and it seemed you were attempting to be abusive and hostile to people here and call them 'obama supporters' but pretend you were not talking to anybody in particular, even though you quoted somebody, and you have said: 'you guys'? and you had nothing to apologise for. I'm not quite sure of the correct word for that particular behaviour. Who's talking about conspiracy theories?
Someone disliked my post, but no one answered it. Why is written law only important when Republicans change it?? You know? For alleged "Hippies," this forum is filled with violence sympathizers and government supporters. Since Obama has been if office he's signed laws that directly infringe on our Human Rights. That means it's HIM breaking the law, not people who oppose such laws. I just sit back and laugh- no Obama supporters are true hippies- you support violence, regime changes, taking our Human Rights and, extensive government force, on peaceful American Citizens. "That's the Republicans." No, it's you, because YOU support the man who has done all of these things, without blinking an eye. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I believed Obama's political rhetoric in 2008, but after 5 years of just the opposite, I realized that he's actually NO different than Bush, and people who support him are people with no moral fabric, or political opinions (unless Obama said them first.) But I've also not met a single one of you who can defend his beliefs, or tell me why perpetual violence is the way to "peace" I meet more awake people at the local supermarket, than the Obama supporters here. Maybe you should try to defend what Obama DOES instead of name-calling and disliking my post. I tell the truth, and they act like I'm a conspiracy theorist. Read the damn laws! NDAA,NDRP, CISPA, FAA Reauthorization Act, HR347 and, he re-enstated the Patriot Act TWICE. That's what Obama supporters endorse.
I talked about it too- it was a bunch of rhetoric. He also said he was against war, and going to shut down Gauntanamo. I think you could've found a million more contradictions from this guy, indi. He's the new Richard Nixon- everything out of his mouth is a lie. I mean seriously, they killed a man and his teenage son for speech crimes, with no trial! There's nothing new here. He lied to get into office, and people idolize him no matter what he does. He sends guns to Mexico and Al Qaeda, then, tries to take them from law abiding citizens! And people still worship him! I think his supporters are stuck in 2008, when he didn't break his promises yet...
I think there is now a very wide gap between people who actually support him and people who vote for him. While I disagree with a lot of his policies and his actions, if I were an American citizen I would have still voted for him over Romney and the Republicans. Unfortunately in a two-party system, one is forced to choose the lesser of the two evils. It would be nice if the Libertarians or Greens were viable options, but they have absolutely no chance of getting elected in the current system (with eroding limits on corporate fundings, PACs/Super PACs, and the public debates under the control of the two major parties). We definitely have our flaws in Canada, but at least we have 5 separate political parties holding seats in our parliament (mind you, the Green party only has one seat and it is their first ever). We also have a ruling party that somehow holds a majority of the seats in parliament while only receiving about 38% of the popular vote, so there are issues here as well.
That's because you have no desire to listen. All you are interested in is trotting out the SAME speech time and time again. I'm actually worried about your mental health. No you don't. Why don't you give yourself a break and go visit other parts of the forum or talk about something else? I'm not sure how many times you can repeat yourself in the space of 7 days - but it must be boring even for you.
I could say the same thing about you,and Obama supporters. because people who support Obama, absolutely refuse to even take notice, or address it. You're lying when you say that people legitimately defend Obama. Plus, it's your own mental health you should be worried about- it take either: an apathetic uncaring person, or, a cruel hearted evil person to support a government system that kills its own people, spies on it's own people, wages perpetual war for profits and, infringes on our Civil Liberties. It's not a "mental disorder" to question the government; it is more so "crazy" to defend brute force, just because YOU THINK it's for the greater good. I like calling out hypocritical people, who support Government Guns, but no guns for the individual. People who dislike one man, who is just like the new guy, they love! You claim people have told me how Obama's helping, but they either just knock on Republicans or Bush, or support expanding government, taxes, spending etc. and that will do exactly the opposite of help, that's why we're in this mess. It also has economical aspects intact, and that's the reason we can't cut military, without having less overall spending money. We need to think of a whole new system; However, some leftist and many Obama supporters want government to take care of everything, but this is the same government who has been fucking up the past 100 years. Think about it. Really, the official stories sound much more like conspiracy, to well-read people, who can see through the governments scams. Obama is one of those government scams, and you people are wasting time and intellegence idolizing and supporting him. He is shredding the Constitution, and his supporters are either obvious, or too captivated with him to blink an eye.
And who are these people... specifically? Just anyone that sees things slightly differently than you automatically becomes that feared monster, the dreaded Obama supporter. Even those from other countries? Dude, you just spit out the same old story in defense of being pointed out for telling the same old story. Give it a rest, already.
It's not "anybody who disagrees with me. I'm talking about Obama supporters specifically. I didn't call anyone an Obama supporter, you, as everyone else is misreading my post, or misjudging the meaning. I'm talking about people who defend Obama despite his Constitutional violations. It's obvious I'm talking about that. Don't read my post fast or SKIM the shit, and you'll realize, I'm pointing out his hypocrisies. If no one has anything REAL to say in defense of him, just admit it. People tell me to have blind faith in a government that is known to lie to us; People who hated Bush, are obsessed with Obama's rhetoric- because he knows what to say to make himself look better. "Don't believe Washington is trying to take your guns away" Then, he starts workingn toward taking guns, "Don't believe voices that say tyranny is around the corner," I take that stuff as a slap in the face, when he does what he does- but his supporters, listen to whatever he says blindly, and blocks those 'evil' voices out. I mean, shit! The guy should teach a course on brainwashing the human psyche.
You're arguing with a straw man. You're setting up a fictional opponent and then using the same arguments to knock him down over and over. There is nobody here making the claims that you are arguing against, so who are you trying to convince?
Thanks for including me in that post. I wondered if I would get a look in at any point. I can't remember saying that to you. Are you sure it was me? Or was it just an attempt to personalise the post, and not make it just another speech?
It's one thing or another, with some people here. It is not a "straw man," I can name several people who are die- hard Obama supporters; If I start naming them, you will say I'm "insulting" someone. Karen J is a good example though, cause she literally said "I don't believe that, that was a BUSH thing." If you look around the forum, there's a lot of heads like this. A straw man would be made-up. What I say is the truth, and you can go to any random thread, and see them floating about. I don't know what's wrong with telling the truth, that you guys get so offended, over me speaking my mind. All I was saying from the start that this speech is another one of Obama's MANY campaign lies, and people attack me, and get offended- cause I used a few caps and (!)'s. And I only do that, cause I know most people here don't read every bit of every post, so I use them to make specific points. I wasn't trying to insult anyone, and someone cut and clip my post together, to have a different meaning. I usually apoligize, if I do something wrong. But I didn't. I accidentally said "you guys," but, I wasn't referring to her, or anyone else; Except, people who support specific policies. They may say, "Oh well, I don't really like that part of his policies," that's a start, but to support a man with so many bad policies and brutal actions, is just as bad as supporting Bush. If Obama supporters can't admit to that- they're not lying to anyone but themselves. Cause Republicans, Libertarians, the ACLU and, everyday American citizens can see what's going on. For people to overlook that, and still support him, they probably are "lacking knowledge or awareness in general" Which is the definition of ignorant.
As long as people keep believing this, it will remain true. The Republicrats want the public to buy into the "lesser of two evils" concept, and it's working. People are afraid to vote for an alternative party because they know they won't win an election....which is only enabling the Republicrats to maintain their stranglehold on American politics. All it takes for an alternative party is 5% of the popular vote in the presidential election, to qualify for federal funding, a seat at the national debates, and ballot access in all 50 states. Everyone wants to bitch about the two party system, but as long as they keep voting for the "lesser of two evils" they are helping to keep it in place. 5% isn't a lot, but it would go a long way in demolishing the two part system. Or we keep doing what we're doing and bitch all day without making any effort to change anything.
Exactly. No one is forced to vote for the lesser of two evils. No one is forced to vote at all. I think part of the problem is that Americans like a winner and they want to support someone/some party/whatever that actually has a chance of winning.
