A fella I used to work with who was a foreign student from Zambia told me that some women who can't afford much of the whitening cream would just but it on their hands and face, ofcourse when they are naked it makes for a rather incongruous clash.

how horrible.. its sad enough that products for the purpose of lightening skin even exist. If the world (or america) wasnt so fucking racist, then skin color wouldnt matter at all.

that's sick. people over here want to get tanned to perfection, and people over there want to get whiter. i don't understand people's motives for changing their skin color!

Easy to understand. The mind speaks heaviest in those who are not aware and changing your skin or not feeling comfortable with what god has given you is definately a thought from the mind. Therefore it is up to all of us who have evlolved to help those who have not. Spiritual enlightnment is a gift, but once obtained it only holds meaning if we share it.

How sad, and here's me thinking black women are stunning. :(

I guess it's a case of the old "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence" syndrome.

    It aint.

No one should ever have to sacrifice their ethnicity to be accepted into the whole beauty myth. I have a huge problem with the whole fashion/beauty industry and their unattainable requirements for women to be considered 'beautiful'.
