We Have A Shop In Town Called "Wishbone Chicken", Next Time I Call In For A "Dead Bird" I'm Going To Demand He Rename His Business "Wishbone Chooks".... And If Anyone Is Confused About The "Dead Bird" Reference, When I Am At The Back Of The Crowd Who Have Placed Their Orders, And The Owner Asks Me What I Want, I Reply, One Dead Bird Please, And A Large Tub Of Mixed Salad, Tis Usually Greeted With Howls Of Laughter.... On One Occasion A Lady With Her 12 Year Old Son Gave Me "The Look" Whilst Her Son Was ROTFL, Days Later I Saw Them In The Street And She Said "I Would Like To Have A Word With You", Turns Out At Dinner That Night, When Son Had Finished His Meal, He Announced In Front Of The Family That He Would Like Another Serving Of "DEAD BIRD" Please.... Ahhh, GLENGLEN, Always At The Cutting Edge Of Sophistication...:2thumbsup: Cheers Glen.
All sounds good so far. Glad that Madonna has claimed her space. They do adopt us and not the other way around. When I was working I used to say I worked for cats. Ruth sounds like someone I would like to meet.
Glen, you might be an expert on this. I've been trying to fathom it out... Are different points likely to be bigger than others? I think yes, but I might be wrong..
cats, bonny mad cats, bedlam cats are bonny. they leap in the air and they haven't a care and they sleep upon your tummy. cats are people like anybody else. they just don't write stories or paint pictures. if you've got a place where you can have infinite many, and you can afford to feed them, why not? or any other kind of little friendly furrball. they get into things. anything that isn't nailed down they'll pick up and bat around. there were always cats in the house when i was growing up. always strays who had adopted us. i don't believe in buying and selling living creatures. i don't believe we should do that. and breeding, to me that's just silliness. but having cats around, letting them come and go, this is a good thing. and places that won't let people do that, there's too many places that won't, and most of them don't make any sense.
Glen is a crazy cat lady. My kitty passed in November and I was so heartbroken I don't know if I could ever have another.
Not At This Point In Time Heather. The Last Two Have Blended In Perfectly, And Keen As I Am To Add To Our Family I Feel The Risk Of Of Unbalancing This Harmony Is Too High, Give It A Few Weeks And I Will Reconsider Adopting "Patches".... Cheers Glen.
I can totally understand that. Changes take time for us and for them and waiting is probably a good thing. From everything you have said about Ruth it sounds like no cat is leaving unless she is sure it is going to be loved and cared for. If it is meant to be Patches will be there when you are ready or another one that needs you and your feline bunch. This is such a nice thread Glen and I am glad you shared it with us.
OMG Glen, you almost have as big of a cat addiction as me and my husband do! But I think we may have you beat. We currently have 9? cats in the house. I question it, because I have to go through all the names to figure it out. Mandrake, Mitzi, Rocket, Skooter, Citrus, Joey are the regulars, and we have Creamsicle with her two kittens, Tutti and 7-Up inside right now, so yup, 9. Then there are the outside cats... Mini B, Wobert, Bobby, Buster, Nomi, Cleopatra, Sheba, Furrbie, Gerald, and I think there is more, but it gets so hard to keep track of them all. We have had as many as 28 cats on the farm, but they will come and go. I did nearly come home with two more a few months ago, but they had been able to find a new home for them. We tend to collect any cats that need a home. L We do also have three dogs right now, one was a rescue, and we are dogsitting the other two for a couple of years, while our friend goes to vet school. But I'll admit, yes, I do have an addiction, but I have no plans to try to get rid of this one LMAO.
I wish I had more cats.. I'm in love with the ragamuffin so god damn plush!! I have two kitties. A calico that never leaves the basement. she loves affection but bitches about it. skittish and weird. And one loving over bearing kitty that looks like a Maine Coon
