I get lots of negative comments on how I dress and look

in summer i go barefeet everywhere for many years. i never had problems. i slightly injured myself only 2 times in these years but it was nothing serious. you get a certain sense i think over the time. as i began going barefeet on a regular basis i looked down to the ground very often. but now it is really kind of automatic. you have to take a little bit more care where you go and so. but really: how often do you step in glass or needles wearing shoes? if you are not always in very dirty places it should not be a problem. but you have to judge for yourself. disclaimer: i am not responsible if anyone gets injured.

this year i will try to ne barefeet even in winter. i read about it here and on other places and it is obviously possible. i will keep my old shoes, though. in case it gets too cold or we get lots of snow. but i dont think that this will happen.

I think i am going to try those barefoot shoes to see if they have the same feel and keep those around for protection of my feet, or incase I have to go inside a store, a lot of them here say no shirt no shoes no service.

One time I told them well I may not have shoes , but i have a shirt, so therefore you must serve me XD

 

it sounds to me the only reason she gets it is she's barefoot. would she be treated the same has she adds sandals?

I just saw the age 16. Things turn a little more personal then.
However I don't doubt people judge. You must also be aware not to go in with a scowl on expecting to be judged.

If you're really curious why they call you dirty when you are not (even though it is indeed most likely stereotypical behaviour in the sense you look like a hippie so we call you dirty or something) and they're your old friends/schoolmates why not ask them just why they call you like that. That's what I would do. Curious what my schoolmates would answer when confronted with the question.

Well, If ya look all greasy and ya smell bad, ppl might be conscious enough to let you know. We are Human Beings, not animals. If you can get to hot water and soap you really should. You can get skin infections if you do not cleanse your body.

Everyday sweat from working is one thing but to have a real funky stank about yourself is a turn off. I wouldn't want no funky hands on my body, esp don't want nothin' to do with rotten crotch either, or hanging with a cat that smells like ass. js

If you are keeping it clean and just have a funky style, I don't see where it would concern anyone how you present yourself as long as it wasn't offensive. Beside. It's none of your business what 'others' choose to think. It is not your problem what ppl think, it is your problem if you let them think for you.

Hey WB, rather than focus on the old, why not see what other scenes are out there? I don't know anything specific about Slovenia, but I do know there is a vibrant psytrance scene in Eastern Europe. I was at something in the Western US this past weekend and there were 100s of people with dreads, barefoot, dressed every which way.

You have a brilliant way of fucking with people at your disposal use it. If they look at you like you are the scum of the earth help them. Then if they treat you like shit it only makes them look bad. Maybe they'll get the picture and it'll make the world a better place. Or they'll miss the point and give you a cheap laugh.
