Ribbed condoms really uncomfortable to wear?

Ribbed condoms seem to be really popular so I thought I'd try them the other day. But I noticed that, for me at least, they are seriously uncomfortable to wear. I can feel every rib, almost feels like a bunch of snug rubber bands along the shaft.

Is this normal for ribbed condoms or is it just me? Are they not the right size? If it matters, they're Trojan "Ultra Ribbed".

That really has nothing to do with my question, whatsoever.

We're both in our 20s, mentally and sexually mature. We've been together for upwards of 3 years and telling us to "wait" is unnecessary and years too late. My question was about my first experience with ribbed condoms being uncomfortable and tight.

It sounds like you just need a bigger size. A good fit is important. You don't want a break!

 

I've never felt them from the male side, but I've always hated the way the felt in me. Same thing with the studded ones, but ribbed is the worst. I don't know how it is supposed to "enhance" pleasure when it feels even more unnatural than just a regular condom. I don't know if I'm just too sensitive, but those little ridges really annoy me.

 

I tried Trojan's 'Twisted" condoms once. Didn't like it so much.
